We stayed in the larger cabin. It was clean, cute, and cozy. Queen bed was comfortable bring your own bedding. Large refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. No running water. Bring wet wipes and hand sanitizer. Porta-potty across street...bathrooms and showers by general store/office. Plenty of room for the two of us. Think tiny house with no bathroom and a kicking air conditioner. Campground was clean and quiet. Krissy at the desk was kind and helpful. Enjoyed our visit.
This beautiful campground is surprisingly affordable. We received the warmest welcome from Kim. The property is covered with grass and trees, all nicely manicured as though they hired a full-time gardener. We wouldn’t hesitate to camp here again. If you’re in the area, this is a great base camp or overnight stay.Service: 5/5
I am extremely impressed with the quality and simplicity of this campsite. You can choose your spot in advance from their website and the campgrounds are clean and well spaced. The staff is very friendly and informative. This was our first camp with our new camper and the whole process was painless and very enjoyable. I had not been fishing in decades and first time out my son and I caught several small bass and a good sized catfish. We are extremely grateful for the campground.
WOW! This place is beautiful! If you are ever near this town, you MUST stop here. This, by far, has been the best place ever to stop. The lady in the store is a retired librarian. She does story time and takes you on a walk about around the lake. RV spaces are very large. This is definitely a 5 Star RV campgroundRooms: 5/5
This is a great hidden gem of a camp ground. The area is well maintained, and the camps hosts were extremely friendly. The only reason for not 5 stars is that the whole camp ground is only water/electric hook up. There is a dump station on site. And then shower/restrooms could use a remodel/refurbish. Other than that, the lake at the campground is beautiful with a pretty decent walk path that goes around the whole lake, about 2.5 miles. Overall, we will absolutely stay here again and you can not beat the price.
Had a beautiful spot with a direct view of the lake. The sites are well maintained with lawn/trees. Highly recommend you go on line and reserve your spot in advance which we did. Highly recommend this campground and we will be back!Rooms: 5/5
I'm giving 4 stars overall for how beautiful the campground was and very well maintained. The staff and other campers we met were very nice. We enjoyed the fact that we could bring our side by side. I also enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese. The fact that this campground is pet friendly is helpful to us, being that we have 3 house dogs. We will definitely visit again but will bring our camper next time. I gave the primitive cabin 1 star as far as the poor accommodations or lack of. The cabin was big enough for us but the beds were terrible and uncomfortable. You literally have to bring everything from home but the kitchen sink, even your own bedding. We were told by management that there was a port a potty near our cabin and that wasn't the case. The other primitive cabin had a port a potty right outside the door. Either way, it's not ideal and a hassle to have to drive to the shower house in the middle of the night to use the restroom. It's very inconvenient and there's no running water in the cabin. The cabin needs water and at least a port a potty outside. People are not going to pay to stay in a place where there is no running water or place to use the restroom. I wouldn't recommend staying in the primitive cabins for this reason. Im giving 2 stars on the service. The lady in the office couldn't answer basic questions. We also told her the remote control to our cabin TV was missing when we got there, and that we only had the remote to work the smart apps on theTV. She kept saying she would tell Brett about it and nothing was ever done. We tried to check out before 9 on Sunday. The sign on the door said open 8am-8pm. No one was in the office to check us out and the door was locked. We had to give our cabin key to a couple to turn in for us. I called the lady in the office when I got home to see if she received our cabin key. She stated she doesn't come in until 10am on Sunday. That time needs to be added to the hours of operation on the door, and there needs to be a drop box on site to leave keys when no one is available in the office to check out. We were told if no one was available the camp host could help us. Tried to contact them but they didn't answer their door. This is not a good set up for people who want to check out early. I'm giving the location 1 star because the restroom and bathhouse was so far away from our cabin. Making frequent trips in the middle of the night to use the restroom is a complete invonvience for guests. And what if someone were sick? I would not recommend staying in the primitive cabins as they are full of inconviences and cannot meet your basic needs.
A very nice small and quiet campground. Lake for fishing and boating. No gas motors allowed. Nice path too.
The reservation process of this campground is so difficult. We finally quit and went to another campground. Beware of making reservations. Don’t bother calling their phone number for they do not help. Good luck.
Quaint campground with friendly staff and great hiking trail around lake.
