The room was really nice. The sheets and bed…not so much. The bed is very hard and the sheet was not cotton and was so thin that it was pretty much nonexistent. The Grill is wonderful. The bartender was great and the food was great. Very nice guy. One night though someone at the bar couldn’t seem to talk without the f word which was a bit disappointing. The bartender should have said something. It’s a classier place than that. What was really bad is that no one stocks your room on a daily basis. I don’t mind them not cleaning or making the bed until the 3rd night and only if you ask. I can do that. But if you run out of anything you have to go to the front desk. There were no spares of anything. Only 1 coffee pack, 2 washcloths, and whatever is left on the Tpaper roll when you arrive. You run out, you have to go and get it yourself. That’s not good customer service. Plus it doesn’t seem that the free breakfast is restocked. The day I went there at 6 there was a variety of pastries. The day I went there at 8 there was really nothing left to take with you. I would stay again but I would ask for extra items up front; I might bring my own sheets; and I would definitely eat at the Grill. Again great food!
Great indoor water park! The staff is attentive and friendly. They have a restaurant on site and the food was wonderful, delivered to us at the pool. If you need to top that off with an alcoholic beverage they had quite the selection. And in the bathrooms it was very large and had individual shower stalls, group showering and plenty of toilets. I would recommend this park to anyone, especially for a gathering or a party.
I've definitely stayed in better hotels than this one. This place in desperate need of some updates and cleaning. I'll more than likely be booking a different chain if I'm in town again. The walls and floors are paper thin so you can hear every movement from neighboring rooms and the hallway. One positive to note, the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Came in for an interview with Lynn, and it was a terrible experience. She immediately walked back the advertised pay and said because of previous employees that, for this management position, the pay would start at $16/hr. When I said that wouldn’t work, her demeanor flipped like a light switch and she instantly became very rude and sarcastic. Definitely gave me a glimpse into what it would be like working for her. No wonder why it’s hard for them to keep people around. Entry level McDonald’s in this town pays $16/hr. To hire managers at this rate is absurd and insulting.
Really do not understand the negative reviews of this place. Paying a little more than what you get in return but it’s an hour closer to the cities than the Dells, and the food/entertainment in the area isn’t nearly as pricey. Rooms were great and CLEAN, beds were stiff yes but after a long day in the area it doesn’t make much of a difference. Water park is great for kids 8/9 and under, any older and they might get a little bored. Our 2.5 year old loved every minute here. Restaurants in the area are great and this hotel is nicely tucked away from the main hustle and bustle.
Great location. Rooms are outdoor themed but a bit dated. Reminded me of vacation trips as a kid. The one area of major improvement needed is the mattress in the room was horrible. Improve the mattress and everyone will get a great night's sleep also
We absolutely used to love it here!! The water park WAS amazing for all ages. Unfortunately, it has been changed. They took out the toddler/kids part and it’s just a pipe spilling water now. We came because we have been here before and it was the best water park for families that I have ever been to. Now however, my toddler was completely bored because there were no slides for him to go on. The remodel that they did was very cheap and you can see all the corners that they cut. There were pipes with weird fake Ivy on it that didn’t even look the same as the rest of the decor of the place. They also added cheap water tables to suffice for taking out the toddler area, which is completely pathetic. The sad thing is there is a hotel across the street that pricewise is about the same but they have a way better pool area for families. We will be going elsewhere from now on. So sad. It used to be the absolute best.
Not sure we’re coming back. Water park doesn’t open until 4. No one told us that at booking and it’s not listed in the World Wide Web. Breakfast is not good at the hotel and the front desk staff had us wait 20 minutes to check in…at 4pm. The room was great but just not sure I’d make the stop next time.
For as nice as this hotel should be and as much as you pay, it really could use some work. The walls are paper thin, the shower pressure was non-existent, when the bath drained, you could hear it flowing through the pipes throughout the hotel, the sheets look like they’ve never been replaced who knows if they were even clean. And “hot breakfast”? You get to microwave waffles or a burrito. The water park is fine but you can pay the same price for three bears hotel down the street and get 3 times the water park. Not worth it here. Rooms: Rooms are spacious, layout is odd. Beds are uncomfortable, pillows are terrible, sheets are raggy and old.
