The ART PARK is a place where everyone is welcome to observe, create and/or perform all forms of art, and an extraordinary venue for public and private events.
The Art Park is a community center purposed with hosting events that highlight local artists. It’s a new venue that will enhance the education and expanse of Albany’s growing art community. Within the walls of the park is an open air area where people host events, perform art and gather. There will be a co-op garden housed within the park where people can participate in and explore permaculture design. We plan to incorporate a green initiative when considering sources of power and structural design, and much of the parks garden beds and containers are being built from re-purposed items.
You can help by donating any art supplies to the park, from spray paint to sidewalk chalk, or by making a monetary donation to the DAC Art Park Project through the Albany Area Arts Council.* Most importantly, tell Everyone about it and go Create something in there! You can even help the garden grow by planting your favorite fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, or trees!
Thank You All for working with us to create an awesome space in Albany for betterment of the Arts!
