For the most part, a positive experience. But, it's not five star because the sales people were a little bit aggressive. I understand they are commission at least, I think they are but when I first walked in, I told the nice lady I was "just looking" which I was and I was still approached three more times while looking. That's the bad. The good is that the sales person I ended up with was very nice and helpful and didn't push too hard to up-sell. The transaction was a little flawed due to their credit card machines not working, but a very nice young lady took care of that for me. Delivery was very good ... one peeve of mine not a big deal, but I'll mention it anyway is that I asked for a call an hour in advance, and they only gave me 10 minutes. Luckily, I had already moved 95% of the things needing moved. The guys were very professional and got the job done efficiently.
We had a super experience at Art Van Furniture recently! Our Sales Rep was very informative, and explained pricing, quality, and purchase amounts with our purchase. Merchandise delivery was arranged smoothly and quickly; Delivery reminders were communicated a couple times, which was greatly appreciated for confirmation on both sides; and delivery occurred smoothly and with exceptional set-up and care in our home. Thank you for a great experience!
Excellent service! We started off with Anna on day 1, but I'm quite indecisive so they allowed me to take pillows home to see if they would work with my paint and carpet. I can't say that helped much only because I was overwhelmed with the decision and layout with the Christmas season quickly approaching. I went in on Day 2 to return my pillows, thinking I would postpone any purchase until after the holiday season, when Jackie store manager approached me with ideas after she had discussed everything with Anna earlier that morning. The communication between Anna and Jackie was wonderful. Anna was able to convey all my worries, likes and dislikes, and so much more to Jackie. When Jackie came to me she answered all of my questions and concerns without even having to ask. She gave me her options, she drew a layout on graph paper for me, she moved items furniture, tables, rugs, pictures, and pillows from all over the showroom so I could see how everything would look together and the subtle changes I could make to give my room a different look. We bought everything that night. The furniture won't arrive until February, but I am very excited. I can't recommend Anna & Jackie enough. Thank you for everything!
I had a wonderful experience! Ann was amazing! She hand designed different options. It was so helpful in helping me make a decision. The guys delivered my furniture and went over and above to set them perfectly! I'm so thrilled with my new furniture. They all were so accomadating! Thanks so very much!
We had one of the best experience at an Art Van Store ever. The biggest gripe we've always had was the salespeople follow you around and hand you off to the next salesperson. Totally different attitude. Salesman introduced himself and pointed us in the right direction and said, "I'll be over here if you need help". We went all over the store. Picked out 2 loveseats. He wrote it up, we paid for it, and they are delivering it tomorrow. EXACTLY HOW FURNITURE BUYING IS SUPPOSED TO BE. 100% happy with the transaction, salesman, and store.
After trying 5 different mattresses we chose the one we preferred. Although the mattress we did receive is the one we chose, it does not feel anything like the display. We also purchased the total satisfaction guarantee and when we went in to exchange the mattress with a softer one we were told we have to continue to sleep on the new Mattress for a minimum of 30 days. Needless to say we have to be uncomfortable in our own bed for the next 25 nights. After paying $6200 we feel like we “should” be able to sleep exceptionally well. Our suggestion.... display mattresses need to be rotated. If we would have gotten the correct representation of the mattress we wouldn’t have chose that particular mattress. On a different note, the delivery guys were very friendly but did not finish the job. I had to install the corner brackets on the adjustable bases myself. The headboard came with outlets but the cords for them were still rolled in plastic and taped under the headboard, so I had to take the bed apart and finish what they started. If they would have cleaned up the boxes they would have saw the brackets for the adjustable bases.
The customer service was excellent. We were very personally attended to. Not rushed, helped us narrow down the best option for us. And we are finally getting the comfortable queen sized bed we've been longing for. In this day in age where my wife and I notice the lack of good customer service in places we go. It was refreshing to see excellent customer service. And I would recommend Art Van to anyone considering purchasing new furniture .
By far one of my favorite furniture stores in Battle Creek. it may be one of the few furniture stores in Battle Creek though, so you don't have many options. But the customer service and sales people there are good. Bob my salesperson is always helpful, attentive, and calls me when there are good sales. I buy thousands of dollars there per year, and find that I get great value every time. From all of the many times I've been there there's only been one incident where the new manager treated me as if I did not exist, and was rude. But I guess everybody has a bad day every now and then.
I thought it was weird that our sales person passed us off to another person when it wasn't his break or end of shift. We weren't there but maybe 30 minutes when he did this. We were happy with Stephanie, the one we were passed off to. Just felt awkward. I'll rate delivery and actual product later once we get it. It will be about three weeks. EDIT: it took a really long time to get our recliner. They delivered us the wrong one. We ordered a power and they sent us a manual. Over all it took more than 2 months 2 get it. They also never called when our stuff came in. Then when we set up delivery, they never showed. The person had set our delivery for like 10 years from now. They also double charged my art van card, which effected my credit because it said I had a negative credit limit. It took me weeks to get this fixed by them. The positive is they let us keep the manual recliner until we got the electric. And they didnt charge us the difference. The furniture is also holding up well so far.
Wouldn't buy from them again....the sales are not sales...the signs 20% off, we pay your tax are not true advertising. As long as you go in to buy something and don't expect any kind of sale or deal your OK...Delivery was great very polite guys. But sales not so great...Oh and I'm still waiting on my free TV that was to be here mid Nov. after calling and asking, I was told you get an email after 30 days from delivery. Why not just tell customers the truth.
