We are passionate about the arts culture in Fort Worth and creating connections between people and original art.
About the owners:
As a young girl, I fell in love with art the first time I dipped a wet paintbrush into red watercolor and watched it seep across the paper. I would spend hours exploring old copies of National Geographic at my grandparents’ house and loved hearing the story behind every artifact they had collected in their travels. It was always my desire to be involved in the art world. Through the years, I have created and sold my own artwork as well as taught art in a variety of mediums to students of all ages. I received a degree in Art History with a minor in Media Studies from Texas State University and volunteered as a student curator at the Gallery of the Common Experience in the Honor’s College. I have both independently curated and collaborated with DFW art collectives to host several art exhibits since 2007.
As a co-founder of ArtAffix, my desire is to make the work of dynamic, original artists uniquely accessible to the Fort Worth metroplex by thoughtfully curating spaces via pop-up events and collaborations. These spaces allow people to experience art in a different environment than a traditional gallery and it enters their lives in a fresh way. We are also mixing things up by introducing exceptional artists from other locations into the local art scene to contribute to the variety of art dialogue in Fort Worth.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Zoology degree, I moved to Austin, TX where I picked up a paintbrush for the first time. I spent 6 years teaching Biology before moving to Seattle from 2012 - 2015 to focus on art full time. I am passionate about my artistic expression. I believe that art can invoke a feeling of wholeness, adventure, or passion from its colors and designs. I tend to paint “messy” allowing me to focus on the experience of creating instead of the outcome. This lends itself to lots of texture, color, and abstract design. I am a left-brain thinker and tend to be very logical at problem solving and approaches to life, art is the only medium that allows me to express myself in ways that logic does not.
I have participated in a variety of art collectives and galleries through the years and across multiple states.
In Seattle, I founded ART SINCERELY, a company focusing art related events, such as-Paint N’ Sip Events, After School Enrichment, and Corporate Team Building Events.
As a co-founder of ArtAffix, my goal is to find unique art and artists across the globe and to connect them with art lovers. I am a firm believer that your space is a representation of who you are, sometimes it just requires a little help in finding and choosing the right art pieces for your space.
