We've never seen fajita look like this... It looked and tasted tired and felt like it's been sitting out for some time. Nothing like fajitas you get on a sizzling plate. There was no sizzling plate but it came on a paper plate. I was very surprised to see that. If I knew their fajita didn't come on a sizzling plate I would've totally skipped this place. And It's not cheap either. When you pay $17.99 you expect something delicious and warm food. I've been to enough Mexican restaurant and let me tell you this is not the place you want to eat fajita at. Maybe the other dishes taste great who knows. But this place isn't for fajita lovers, unfortunately. However, if you like Mexican fruit drinks and shaved ice stuff, this is the place. Their drinks are great and tastes refreshing especially the cucumber - celery. This is the place to be if you want to catch something cold in the hot weather. Their salsa taste good but the chips are stale and very thick. If I were to rate this place JUST on drinks it would be a solid 5. Everything else we ordered tasted old, stale and cold.
Easily the BEST Mexican food in Joshua Tree and possibly southern California. I have been all over the world and searching for authentic Mexican cuisine. Trust me when I say this is LEGITIMATELY one the tastiest Mexican food restaurant finds there is I loved the old school feel inside the restaurant. They even serve you glass bottled coke or fanta. Chips and salsa are plentiful and awesome! The food is straight up delicious and made to order. Dad in the back is chef while daughter is working the front with sweet stellar customer service and tentative food service skills- the restaurant was busy and she held it down remarkably well. Food is a 10! Service is a 10! Eat here! It is a 10!
Everything was yummy starting with the salsa which is full of chunks of fresh vegetables, and our lunch, consisting of the chorizo taco, El Pastor, and a Birra taco plus a cheese enchilada. Delicious with kind service, very affordable.
Such a great place that serves good Mexican food. We my friends and I were visiting from out of town and truly we just wanted some place to have food nearby our hosting house. Thanks to Google maps we were able to see the menu and their food. This place its really good, with the right portions enough to fill us up. So glad we tried it out on our way put of 29 Palms.
Prices had gone up but there was so much food that I think I came out ahead. Nice quiet family atmosphere too.Food: 5/5
Stopped for lunch after a drive through Joshua Tree. Delicious salsa and nice, quiet atmosphere with yummy Mexican food! Quick as well!
This just isn’t quality food. I read the reviews figured I would give it a shot and I was very disappointed. The staff and service was decent very friendly people. However all of the food was very low quality. Starting with the salsa it taste nothing like salsa at all. The meat in every dish we order was over cooked and tasted like canned meats, extremely dry and had odd texture. The rice texture was off and under seasoned, beans tasted spoiled and all of the dishes were either to spicy to mask the lack of flavor or were flavorless. Freshest thing in the place were the tortillas. If the place would transition to using fresh meat and produce I would consider giving it another go but it is extremely obvious that everything here is treated like a meal prep then reheated and served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils.
Seriously incredible food. Everything there had a depth of flavor that is beyond what you usually get at similar types of restaurants, and the cost to portion ratio was excellent. Don't let the unassuming nature of the building or location fool you, great staff, great prices, and seriously, can't stress this enough, excellent food!Food: 5/5
Really glad we stopped here, amazing wet asada burritos!Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious. Their chips and salsa, on point, very authentic. Salsa is very flavorful. The atmosphere is inviting. Was greeted with a smile, and prompt service. Their tables are clean and stocked with napkins. The entire restaurant is made to feel like home. The Carnitas plate comes with a HUGE portion for the price. The flavor is absolutely amazing. Their rice and beans are delectable. The corn tortillas as well. This restaurant DEFINITELY will be the only one I will eat at. I'm so incredibly pleased. You can tell they put love into everything here.
