Nice quaint little museum in a peaceful little Scottish town. Shares its past in artefacts and also has a small collection of stuffed animals representing the wildlife in the area.
Nice welcoming staff. Family History type stuff with old maps and water colour paintings, iron age and Roman finds, James Graham Marwuis of Montrose material and items from Montrose collectors, mostly Egyptian.
Great little museum with an interesting collection of items. A special exhibition on women's football at the moment. We'll worth a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Montrose museum is one of my little boys favourite places to visit. The staff are always so friendly and lovely. There is lots to see for both adults and children. I used to go here as a little girl so it's great being able to take my 3 year old too. They provide quizzes for the kids and plenty of colouring in. They even get stickers when they complete the quiz. Excellent all round! Highly recommend a visit!
Great wee museum, had a lovely time here. Staff very welcoming and I suggest you ask for the photo tick quiz for the children even if you don't have any! From local history to Egyptian statues!
Unplanned visit but glad we went in. Some amazing and extremely surprising exhibits if you are at all interested in history, both Scottish and European.

A small space overflowing with interesting exhibits. Learned so much about the history of Montrose and of its wildlife. Interesting artefacts and displays. Staff are friendly and helpful. A must do in Montrose
Hidden gem. I thought it would be good for 45 mins, ended up spending 2.5 hours there. Fascinating collection. Well recommended. It’s free entrance too.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
