The Arts Center @ 319, located in the heart of the Smithfield Historic District, is the home of the visual arts program of the Isle of Wight Arts League.
The Center offers for sale the original works of member artists, hosts six themed exhibits each year, provides working studios for eight resident artists and delivers workshops in a dedicated arts classroom. The Arts Center shares a repurposed hardware store with the Smithfield & Isle of Wight Visitor Center and welcomes over 15,000 visitors a year.
The arts and tourism partnership is nicely captured in the branding for Isle of Wight County: "Hams, History, Hospitality and HeArt".
Beyond the Arts Center @ 319, the Isle of Wight Arts League offers three music programs:
• Smithfield Music (www.smithfieldmusic.org)
• The Summer Concert Series (http://smithfieldarts.org/music_scs.html)
• Sundays at Four (http://smithfieldarts.org/saf.html)
