Absolutely love Dr.Romero! He has been my OB for the past 15 years! Very caring, considerate, and honest. He saw my high risk pregnancy through my first child. He recommended me to a MFM that specialize in high risk pregnancies and they were great. My first delivery was wonderful and my post delivery checkup was great. Dr.Romero checked not only my physical well-being but emotionally how I was doing. Even through a miscarriage with my second child at 16 weeks he was very considerate listened to my wishes to allow my body to process the miscarriage naturally to minimize the risks that come with surgery. Dr. Romero was very compassionate during a time of loss and his MA’s were very kind during an emotional time. My husband and I were so grateful for their compassion and carefulness with us during that time. Which to be honest post pandemic is hard to find as the world seemed to lack the ability of basic human interaction. Dr. Romero’s staff have always been very kind, professional, and positive energy throughout the 15 years he has been my OB. I always recommend Dr. Romero.
I am so upset how they he handled a situation. I have been wit this doctor since 2017. Great doctor not going to lie. This recent pregnancy. I have canceled and rescheduled 2 appointments all together. My last appointment the I tried to reschedule after I called no answer. No problem. I'll just write a message on the portal which usually no problem. I haven't been getting no response or anything and I related this to my high risk doctor who said he would resch out as well. I stay calling and sending messages as well still no response or a phone call back. All this is new never had a issue till now. I went into false labor over the weekend. Er was able to stop me having contractions. What I do call his office again to follow-up and let him know what's going on because I don't want to deliver early again. Guess what no answer when I call to inform him what happened over the weekend and also I sent a message. Guess what he finally has a nurse respond to my message saying he will no longer be my doctor. Excuse me? Claims they sent a letter in the mail? Hmm no letter ever came in the mail from his office at all. She also says they been calling me and left a messages. No ma'am I haven't received any calls or no messages left on my phone from his office. I just find it crazy how they couldn't respond to me getting an appointment and multiple others messages but now that I state I went into false labor is what gets the office attention and for them to say i have to find anew doctor at the end of my pregnancy is out of order and not right at all. Specifical with everything I went through my last pregnancy he knows the struggles and pain and scared about this one. Very unprofessional how this was handled and with the lies they claimed about sending letter and phone calls. I am very upset and will be taking further action on my end.
Both times at the office, I spent more time waiting than actually seeing the doctor. I recall my appointment being at 8:45am and I wasn’t seen until almost 11:00am. Two hours later. I switched doctors, cancelled my upcoming appointment, then received a letter stating he would no longer like to serve as my doctor no reason listed and that he would help me for the next 30 days with any emergencies. The later was dated for April 3rd, but wasn’t sent until May 5th. Super unprofessional and uncaring.
I had two prenatal appointments with Dr. Romero. The first one I waited 2 hours before being seen. Then I had a quad panel blood draw, pap, and I was scheduled for an ultrasound two weeks later. The time with the actual doctor was perhaps 20 minutes. I had an ultrasound with a very nice ultrasound tech in the doctor's office two weeks afterwards. My second appointment with Dr. Romero I was seen after waiting about 20 minutes. Dr. Romero used the doppler to let my husband and myself listen to the heartbeat, told me to see the receptionist to schedule an appointment in 4 weeks, then tried to walk out of the room. My husband stopped him so that we could ask for test results, ultrasound information, and labor questions. Dr. Romero didn't know my quad panel results off the top of his head and had to go look on his computer in his office. All he told me was that my results were negative. Quad panel results should be a ratio, not a positive or a negative. When I asked the doctor about my ultrasound he asked me what I had learned, specifically if there was more than one fetus... Hello!? Shouldn't you have reviewed my ultrasound pictures yourself to diagnose any potential problems? He had no opinions on my ultrasounds whatsoever. I don't think he even looked at the pictures the tech had taken. When I asked the doctor what his feelings were on natural childbirth he seemed offended and told me that if I wanted that sort of labor and delivery I should be seeing a midwife at the birthing clinic in town. All in all I was extremely dissatisfied with my experiences with Dr. Romero and have since switched to another doctor altogether. Do not go see this man unless you want to be treated like a piece of gum on the bottom of someone's shoe.
I loved Dr. Romero! Very reasonable throughout my entire pregnancy and answered all of my questions professionally and honestly. Visits were quick and professional. I was induced but Dr. Romero came to check on me multiple times throughout the day and delivered my baby before going home for the day. He also came to check on me and the baby while making his rounds the next day.
I have been seeing Dr Romero since the beginning of May. Initially, I was booked out past my first trimester because they didn’t have the space to see me. I was okay with this because I am a third time mom so I know how I should feel and when to be seen for emergencies. After seeing Doctor Romero several times, his staff is very nice and respectful. He has a great team but he doesn’t seem to do much. He has never went over any of my results to sonograms or blood test. He comes in the room checks the heart beat and rushes out. Today I had a disagreement with him and he decided to not even hear me out just said “ I don’t want you to be unhappy” and rushed me to the receptionist aggressively. Dr Romero seemed nice at first but today he was so angry and talked to me like I was no longer important. He said something quickly to the receptionist and she didn’t even seemed surprised like it’s something he does often. The receptionist just went ahead and printed a paper stating I will no longer be a patient there and when I asked why she did not have a reason just that he did not want to work with me. This doctor is so unprofessional and unreasonable. It’s his way or highway so now because I know my rights and couldn’t be forced into going somewhere he wanted me to he just dropped me as a patient. I am 23 weeks pregnant without an OB. I honestly don’t recommend Dr Romero, especially if you want a doctor who is uninvolved and sends you to other doctors instead.
This doctors office is VERY unprofessional. They made an appointment for my daughter. She waited 2 months for appointment just for them to tell her when she came for the appointment that they never scheduled the appointment. Even though the texted her pre registration information and then confirmed appointment through text. The office staff specifically Annalisa was very rude and not helpful. She even tried to blame others for her mistakes.
This was my first time coming here because he's the only OBGYN provider in Killeen that is currently taking Ambetter. Considering this was my first appointment with a male doctor obgyn it did not go as well as I thought it would be. The waiting time was a bit long even when I arrived early for my appointment. The front desk and staff were very nice and welcoming but during the 5 minutes I actually spoke with the doctor he said he would schedule the next appointment with me as i was walking out. But when I get to the front desk and ask if I can have my pap done with my PCP when I was no longer bleeding and go over the things we talked about today with my husband they tell me instead that it would be better to just find another ob-gyn because he is an ''either all or nothing provider'' So when I call back and say ill take him as a provider he no longer '' felt like the doctor-patient relationship would be the best fit for him '' and will no longer see me as a patient after a 5-minute conversation in the office.
Love him! Only people that don’t recommend him are overly sensitive uptight people! Lol if you have questions or concerns just ask and if he tells you it’s normal… it’s normal… if you prefer another doctor or can afford someone else then go see someone else. If you check in and come in 15 min prior you’ll be okay! I have never waited over 30 min.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL…… I am anemic my primary doctor had told me that i needed to talk to my obgyn for me to stop my menstrual cycle because it was causing my hemoglobine to go low. I talk to Romero about it, and he didnt do the surgery that I needed to get done which is was a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding completely , he only did an endometrial ablation …. Im still having heavy flows and all he kept doing was giving me birth control pills and shots to stop it, but it just made it worst. After he told me that if those didnt work he had to go ahead and do a hysterectomy, when i called him to tell him that i was still bleeding he told me to get a second option and get another obgyn…. He did the surgery on September 14 of this year, and im still having periods…. He does not care about whats going on, he just tells you that everything is normal….. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM ….
