Arundel Pediatric Dental Care

I would like to start by saying this is the last thing I wanted to do. However, at this point I have no other options. My children have been patients here for 5+ years. Initially, the location was convenient, the office was friendly, and Dr. K. was great. 2 years ago, my daughter was told she needed an extraction. It wasn't required but recommended. After some discussion with the office about the cost we proceeded and I paid the patient portion before the appointment. One year later we received a bill for $92. When I called the office, I was told the insurance didn't cover the nitrous oxide portion. After multiple calls attempting to understand why I wasn't told prior to the appointment that nitrous was not covered, I called my insurance with staff member Sasha on the line. My insurance notified Sasha that they stated online that nitrous was not covered and the provider should have validated that with me prior to rendering services. Sasha then backtracked immediately and told me they would write-off the balance. I considered the issue resolved, and did not receive any other invoices or notices. We had another year of appointments and check-ups, and this balance was never mentioned again. Last year, my son injured his tooth which required an extraction. Again, I was given a patient liability amount, which I paid after once again confirming all services would be covered. I was assured they would be. Two days ago over a year after my son's extraction, I received another invoice, which included additional charges for my son's extraction as well as the nitrous for my daughter that was supposedly written off. I called the office again, and no one has any recollection of any conversations with me, or notes on my account. The dates of services are from 2021 and 2022 and they are trying to collect in 2023. When I asked for an itemized bill, or details on why services were rendered that weren't covered without my approval, the staff has no feedback or details. I paid my patient liability prior to both appointments, it is absolutely not appropriate for the provider to try and hold me accountable for services rendered that they did not confirm coverage for with my insurance. Unfortunately, I have no options but to find another provider. I am sad to be writing this since my children used to enjoy going here. Their billing is a mess, they try to collect payment of things in a sneaky way, there is no transparency, and the wait times are atrocious.

We love Dr. K and all of the office staff here. Our kids actually shouted, “yay! Dentist today!” this morning before their appointments. We feel well cared for and happy that the kids are developing healthy relationships with taking care of their teeth.

Dr K and her team are truly amazing! Feeling very fortunate to have found her! She is so great with all my children. So friendly, very nice, very caring and extremely patient and kind!

My children have been going to Dr. K for a long time now. She is amazing, and she really cares about my kids' teeth. I am very happy to have found Dr. K.

Dr. K gets 5 stars but the office is barley a 2. There is only one support staff in the office and she is EXTREMELY slow. It feels like the Dr. is playing caught up instead of being able to focus on the patients. You have to call some random person from the office to be able to schedule an appointment and to check in. It feels so impersonal I wish it would go back to pre-covid ways.

Blown away. My daughter had an appointment and woke up vomiting in the middle of the night. So I call first thing, the day of the appointment to let them know she wouldn’t be in and they are charging me a $50 cancellation fee!!! $50 for my child being sick and my wisely choosing not to bring her in to expose everyone else to her illness. I could understand if I didn’t show up … but this is ridiculous What horrible service. Highly disappointed!!!

I want to give DR. K a 5 star rating. She has been wonderful, kind and patient to all 3 of my kids. My oldest has been going to see her since 2 and had to have a lot of work done through these couple years and we have been working through his fever of going and every time we go he gets better and better and now he loves it. My middle child has Asperger's and she is very patient with him and he loves her and is very comfortable being with her. My daughter who is 16 months has seen Dr. K 3 times now and she is so gentle with her. I also love Dr. K because she not only makes my children feel loved and comfortable there but she also makes sure I am ok with everything. I will definitely recommend Arundel pediatric dental Care to everyone.

My girls get very excited to go to their dental appointments. We love Dr k. and all of the staff. Everyone is so patient and great with kids. We have been going here for 6 years since having my first child’s lip and tongue tie corrected here.

I was happy to find this dentist years ago when my daughter needed some baby teeth taken care of. Dr K was so great with my daughter and the females at the front desk were a little more knowledgeable and friendly. However the last couple times going here were a complete joke, the females at the front desk are not friendly at all and can't manage appointments if their lives depended on it. We waited over an hour after our appointment time to be called back and taken to the room all the way in the very back. The room wasn't pleasant at all and the dental hygienist wasn't exactly kid friendly, she was very rough with my daughter causing her to be scared and to cry. After the hygienist did a half a** job barely polishing my daughter's teeth she went out of the room and we waited for over a half hour for Dr.,K. Dr.K wasn't nice at all and we were made to feel like we were a huge inconvenience for her. I felt that she rushed, didn't give us that time to actually thoroughly look over my daughter's mouth. Needless to say we won't be returning.

My son has been going here since he could see a dentist and he is 10years old and it is still an amazing dentist office. Very kid friendly, loving and very careful with your children and very very patient. I would give this place 10 STARS IF I COULD!!!
