Welcome to my store page for As The Wood Turns. I am participating in a downtown South Bend initiative to provide store space for artists and craftpersons for the holiday season. This is a new adventure for me and I hope to enjoy success by offering items you won't find anywhere else in the world. I sculpt one of a kind creations using beautiful wood. When appropriate, I like to mount pieces on fo
und metal bases. I've used gears, pulleys, old weights, and antique irons. The mix of wood and metal further distinguishes these pieces and adds the perfect finishing touch.
I also sculpt rocking chairs that you won't find at Lazy Boy or Walmart. Each chair is a work of art and takes north of 120 hours to create. I've been told they are the most comfortable chairs and the most beautiful wood, stop by and try one out.
You'll find bowls and vases hand-turned and beautifully finished, each one an individual work of art.
