Currenty 27 firefighters - all volunteer.

Meetings are held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Mondays of each month.

Mission

The department is an organization that currently consists of about 300 members. As a member, you receive fire protection and ambulance services with no additonal charge above insurance costs. If interested in joining, please call our non-emergency number. The Department is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations to the department are tax deductible.

Asbury Park NJ Firefighters have to be one of the most dedicated professionals with unbelievable courage to go to work as Frontline Responders, these Firefighters go everywhere from Bradley Beach to Millstone, they just go full force in rescuing... While the State of New Jersey neglects their safety and health in a collapsing FireHouse with Cancerous material elements in the walls....with a DEP slammed sticker on their Door dating since 2011, and still haven't broke ground on the new Fire Department alledged to be built on Memorial Drive, with all the Artists making millions in this town from "rags to riches" story how they can drive pass this Fire Station is beyond Comprehension. "I'm talking to you"...too Politicians.... Please protest to our Governor Murphy on this Issue Murphy will hear you you just have to email him everyone email Murphy for the Love of GOD.
This is what I wrote about Asbury Parks bravest. The Fire Department and Police Department. xoxoxo Dear Mayor Moor and Ms. Quinn, My name is Dr. Pamela Luke and I live at 1105 4th Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712. Two Sundays ago my house caught on fire, I called 911 the fire department showed up lickety split along with the Police Department crew. Those finest of Asbury Park were so amazing, they came in and handled the situation very professionally. The fire Captain/Marshall and Police Chief were very kind and caring. I lost my dog to smoke inhalation and the kind fire fighter wrapped her up and laid her on my back deck so amazing the respect they showed by not bringing her to the front where all of us were along with the spectators showed nothing but care and compassion. I just wanted you to know that you have a wonderful group of dedicated and hard working men and women working for Asbury Park. I am displaced for a few months but look forward to moving back home to Asbury Park by the new year or shortly thereafter. Have a great one. Best Regards, Dr. Pamela Luke
Best Fire Department I ever witnessed. CLASS all the Way with these Firefighters as they deal with a toxic DEP 2011 situation in the Building. While being the Frontline Responders to the Community's Safety. Where do all the tax dollars go and parking fees, and Beach concert income where all paid parking is taken away for a week from the residents...The Fire Department is in my book "Escape from NJ", as a positive. Bravest part of the City. By all means. The corruption in this town is bizarre... a leasing building is Obscene in hazard getting away for years go to Asbury Towers and read. Facebook page is going to be dedicated to the harm the Corporation of Asbury Towers has done to me with countless health and safety issues the manager lies, threatens, hurts on purpose likes pain. With a polygraph by a Manhattan Detective Firm honorable and respected with connections to TV to prove the truth the hell this place caused me to be hospitalized.It's sick even the Fire Department is aware.
APFD.....7/8/19....needs to be investigated and made into a mostly volunteer FD like Long Branch and Neptune... 6/13/19...APFD and Fire Marshal need to be investigated for crime, nepotism, and endangerment.....this is all being covered up...and residents visitors are dying from failed inspections failed fire safety enforcement...and questionable firefighting and reports. 4/29/19 For a fully paid Fire Department, performance of APFD is far inferior to Long Branch and Neptune...mostly volunteer..... Police and Fireman in Asbury Park are bankrupting the city....for the worst services to the city. Blame the City Manager who runs APPD APFD and all else.....Major change in Asbury Park or no change in Asbury Park NJ 07712 1 RATING 3/25/19 CHIEF FIRE MARSHAL BATILIAN CHIEF CAPTAIN PROBLEMATIC.....DONT KNOW OR DO THEIR JOB...POLITICAL AND SELF SERVING.......HARASS CITIZENS RESIDENTS WHO FILE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM, CUT OFF THEIR COMMUNICATIONS ENDANGERING PEOPLE. OPRA FOIA REQUEST RELEASE DOCUMENTS SHOW PROBLEMATIC PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT... COMPARED TO ALL ITS NEIGHBOR VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENTS.... APFD FIRE MARSHAL NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.... DCA FIRE MARSHALS WON'T STEP IN AND HELP ASBURY PARK RESIDENTS TO BE SAFE AND SECURE...FROM AN UNPROFESSIONAL SELF-SERVING ASBURY PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT.... . .
I love this Fire Department, the are very professional and proactive in the community. I love, love, love that they hire United States Veterans. The APFD is one of my favorite fire departments, they operate as a family on and off the job!! Keep up the great work and stay safe APFD!!
They're very good fire company Plus they will give you free air if your bike needs it
I see these guys out helping people all over. Too bad there aren't more people like them out there.
