I absolutely adored and loved the Staff at this Hospital. I didn’t have any problems out of anyone. They took really good care of me and saved me surgically. The Staff was very professional and thorough. They made sure I had everything I needed and addressed all health concerns. Only problem was the young black young lady that worked at the front desk that was rude to all of my people when they were coming to visit me. Maybe she needs to be in the cafeteria and not greeting customers. Anyhow I was very pleased with my stay. They all did a great job. Thank you for having such an amazing Staff that goes above and beyond. I appreciate it.
First let me thank you. Your staff took wonderful care of me. They made sure I wasn't in any immediate danger. They stayed with me and kept me informed. I felt safe. In the end all my tests proved negative thank God. You can be proud of them. They were stellar .
Where shall I begin...I had a spinal fusion on 7-18-23 and was disgusted by the lack of compassion, professionalism, policy/procedure, cleanliness, assistance and GETTING BASIC CARE during my stay. I was suffering excruciating pain before and still after surgery infact I hurt in places I didn't hurt before. I had to beg to get pain medication 6-8 hours, which blew my mind because they wouldn't even give me what I usually take for pain through pain management. They say, I don't need it that's why I had surgery. What the heck!?! First of all they shouldn't be telling me how severe my pain is unless they can somehow feel what I feel. I was discharged on 7-27 NINE DAYS and I couldn't get anyone to supervise a shower, or bathroom, they kept dirty soiled bedding on my bed, they wouldn't administer my narcolepsy medication to me the whole time so if I missed ordering Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner that was on me and I would be lucky to get a turkey sandwich. The pain I am experiencing isn't getting better and nobody cares. So they told me my discharge would be at 2 and to let them know when my ride got there, yes he was there at 2 and I reminded them at 12 and 1 that I needed discharge papers and medication to go home with and they were working on setting up in home care. What a joke, we waited and waited and finally at 6pm I was being wheeled out. One of the nurses said to me "you should have known you wouldn't be discharged at 2" what? It felt like she was placing blame on me for having my driver sit there for 4 hours. That doesn't set well with me, well nothing here set well with me. Something is really off about this hospital, avoid the frustration and poor care go anywhere else. Oh one more thing, The hundreds of pokes I received and 3 IV lines have left me looking like a IV drug user. One time they took my IV out and left the room, I didn't even realize blood was gushing out of the site, I called for nurse finally I got panicked and yelled I'm going to bleed out I need help NOW. They strolled in like nothing, then when she saw just how much blood was there she stepped it up a little. I was covered with blood, my clothes, bedding and everything I had touched. They were short with me about changing everything which not everything was cleaned up, which left me laying in filth. Nice really nice. I'm home and no home care was set up so I hope I don't get any infection. This place was awful.
I was listed as cardiac. No doctor came around with a stethoscope Blood pressure was always around 124 over 72 or close to it. 69 years old and 6ft weight 234. No business listed me as cardiac. No questions asked. So they fed me tasteless food I came in with a knee with fluid so I couldn't walk or stand until the fluid was drained out. No dizziness or trouble breathing. Who gives you the right to list me as cardiac.without checking. Nurses were good.
I had a hard time thinking of words, and couldn’t text. I was also having dizziness and a headache and my son came over and said we should go to the ER. The emergency room wasted no time getting me in and running a battery of tests. I was diagnosed with a TIA, which is a mini stroke. I am so thankful to the staff who treated me like I was their first priority. The food was so delicious. I’ve never had hospital food taste so delicious. I was home in two days and back to normal, but I have St John Ascension, my son who got me to the hospital and a a staff that took such wonderful care of me to thank for my recovery! Sincerely, Cheryl isquith
Really disappointed with the ER here. I've been here with my wife before and they've been very good. Unfortunately this time it's been a nightmare. I understand the ER gets busy, however, I'm currently waiting in a room in the ER and waiting to be seen for a hour in a half just in the actual room. The nurse hasn't even checked on me but I can clearly hear him talking about his trip to Florida with other employees. It would be understandable if they were actually busy but given their current conversation it's clear they're just having friendly conversations. I asked if I can just get a doctor's note and go home and they denied me the note because the doctor hasn't been in to see me. It's going on 5 hours as a whole here and I haven't even been checked on. I don't get why it's called a emergency room if they don't tend to emergency. The current nurse on duty should have some repercussions for his unprofessionalism. Do not recommend this ER.
My first unit everything was very good.I've been on other units and they were clean. The second unit was not. Housekeeping came once a week, but the regular was off, once she came back things were better. The nurse techs were good. Most of the nurses were great, I had a couple that argued with me about my pain meds, that is not their job to decide when and what is aloud when there is an order written by a doctor. I feel bad for patient that have no ideal how that works and have to suffer. The dm2 dieticians I saw were fantastic. The food is usually very good it was hit or Miss. As for the doctors infreous disease 2 were great one was a know it all in out fast no touching and wrong each time. Dr Yamazaki was great. Again GI some good some not soo much. Internal medicine doctors covering for my pcp were great. Transporters were all great any test performed staff was great. I worked 30 years in medical industry and alot of areas. I always loved my job and did 100% all the time with love, patience, passion, respect. I hope things can get straightened out.
I was sent to this emergency department by my PCP when I expressed a complaint of chest pain. The diagnostics were all handled in the four hours I waited in the ED waiting room xrays, bloodwork, urinalysis I was moved into a room in the back corner of the ED, and as I was ushered into that room, it hadn't even been cleaned from the previous inhabitant. Eventually, I was moved to the CDU for overnight observation. Overnight was just fine, other than the lack of any food or beverage options By morning, my IV catheter was no longer patent, it had pulled loose from my arm never received any meds or fluids IV and was bleeding around the bandage. I reported this to the nurse, who dismissed my concerns about viability. I had an absolutely awful encounter with a cardiologist Dr. Anthony Kawa who was degrading, accusatory, and sizist. This induced a several hours long panic attack. At no point did my nurse check in on me. After being taken downstairs for a cardiac test, I was allowed to eat lunch, and told I'd be discharged that afternoon. At no point did anyone discuss my results with me, inform me of a treatment plan, etc After 4.5hours of no contact from a staff member while listening to my nurse spend an hour gabbing with the patient in the next room, I unhooked my EKG monitor the whole reason i was in the ED/CDU to begin with - being MONITORED to see if anyone actually knew I was a patient there. 30 minutes later, not a single checkin from anyone. I attempted to leave, where I was stopped by another nurse who insisted I needed to stay for my results. If my condition HAD been critical, I could have coded and died in that room and not a single staff member would have noticed. 0/5 stars I've been attempting to contact the patient relations team since the day after my experience, and have yet to hear anything.
The nurses & doctors in the kidney unit were informative & very knowledgeable about my situation. They were very nice and I will go there again if I have too
Just got my Kidney removed, never had surgery before, they took great care of me even though I know I can be a pain when I am hurting or not feeling well. They took it with a smile, tried to reassure me all along the way it would be fine. They were right, I made it through and I am now home recovering. Thanks everyone for helping me through a very difficult moment in my life and providing excellent care.
