The purpose of this site is to present matters of interest to the school district’s parents, students and staff. Please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. This means that any comments, media, or other information posted to or displayed on this site are subject to monitoring and review and users of this site should have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality with respect to any such comments, media or other information.
While the web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time, we generally only monitor comments and postings during regular business hours. Asheville City Schools is not liable for inappropriate or offensive comments that may be posted.
Once posted, Asheville City Schools reserves the right to delete submissions that contain:
1. Profanity or vulgar or abusive language
2. Personal attacks or threatening or harassing activity of any kind
3. Defamatory or disparaging content
4. Comments or content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on
the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, genetics, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or intellectual disability or sexual orientation
5. Sexual content or links to sexual content
6. Spam, advertising, or links to other sites
7. Advocate illegal activity
8. Promote particular services, products, or political organizations/candidates
9. Infringe on copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property
10. Personally identifiable or protected medical or personal information
11. Sensitive information that may compromise the safety, security or proceedings of public systems or any criminal or civil investigations
12. Content that violates any local, state or federal laws or Board of Education policy or procedure
13. Comments not topically related to the matter being commented upon or otherwise clearly off topic
The school district reserves the right to block comments from Facebook users who violate the above rules. Multiple violations can result in the offending user being banned from using this site. You must also comply with all terms of use established by Facebook.
