Northeast Ohio Soap Box Derby (NEOSBD) is currently raced once a year down Broad Street in Conneaut, Ohio and takes place the Saturday before Father's Day.
Thr upcoming 2016 race marks the 32nd year the NEOSBD has been raced in Conneaut, Ohio.
There are three divisions, stock (beginner level), super stock (intermediate), and masters (advanced) for kids ages 7 to 17.
If a racer wins in any of these divisions, he or she wins the chance to compete in the All-American Soap Box Derby (AASBD) in Akron, Ohio against other racers from all over the world. Winning at the AASBD results in a world championship title, often along with a scholarship fund and other prizes.
