NEGATIVE -10/10 highly don't recommend. Long story short, I went to Aspen for a routine cleaning, and their systems were down. The hygienist who was rude from the time I walked in the door examined my teeth before the cleaning and told me I had an infection at the gum line and needed a dental scaling and root planning. I thought this was a bit odd as I never noticed any pain bleeding or sign of any infection. I also brush and floss multiple times a day as I hate stuff in my teeth. So, the office manager called my insurance company to get the cost which came up to $1500. Whole time I'm wondering, how I have an infection and and how are you giving me a price and asking for payment without entering any information in the system to see which credits my insurance would offer on the claim. The office manager explained once the systems were back up she would run everything and give me a refund if necessary. I asked if I could just get my routine cleaning and come back but the rude hygienist insisted that I get the treatment, and that she wasn't doing anything other than the treatment. I thought that was odd too, because even a hospital will provide recommendations and schedule treatment for a future date, unless it's an emergent situation. Tooth scaling and root planning is not that emergent that it has to be performed right away. But anyway I asked to see a dentist and not the hygienist, because as I was speaking to the office manager the rude hygienist kept interjecting to tell me I had an infection and needed treatment right away loudly while I was at the front desk. I was told the dentist were busy. There wasn't an x-ray or anything performed besides this hygienist looking in my mouth. So anyway I left. 2 weeks later I went to another dental office as a new patient. We all know the workup that comes with being a new patient. Full exam with x-rays. I explained to the dentist that I have an infection as told by another office and would be ready for any treatment she deemed necessary. After the full exam with the x-rays she was confused and stated I don't have any infection and that my gums and teeth were really healthy. :/ She even grew concerned wondering why I was told that by a professional, why I was being forced to have such procedure such as tooth scaling and root planning.... I'm not sure if Aspen Dental is just money hungry or the hygienist was on something that day, but I wouldn't even take my dog there!! No x-rays or full exam , and no dentist, but want me to pay $1500 for something that I clearly didn't need is INSANE!!!!
When I first started going to this office it was great but things have changed drastically! The last time I called to make an appointment the office person was mean and off-putting. When I arrived for my appointment I was not greeted friendly. During my appointment which was for my annual exam the staff had me sit by myself in a exam room for almost an hour. When the dentist finally arrived he just looked at my teeth and said they looked good. 2 minutes. The office manager apologized when I told her what happened and scheduled a cleaning for me. I arrive for my 8 am cleaning and the office is closed. Even though the office hours on line state that the office is open. After 20 minutes someone arrives stating that the office now opens at 9 and they don't know why my appointment was scheduled for 8. Well it was scheduled for 8 because the office manager scheduled it for 8. I am going to start the process of looking for a new dentist. I hope you have a better experience if you go. SMH.
They were very sensitive to the fact of me being nervous and scared, and they explained everything thoroughly as well as being very gentle. Even the financial part of my treatment was a good experience, everything was explained and they offered a few options so that the work was covered. They also was very nice from the time I made my first appointment until I started getting work done. I would definitely recommend Aspen!
If I could give 100 stars I would. I have severe anxiety when it comes to dentist offices. I have had some very bad experiences. This office may have cured all of that for me. I feel so comfortable so far, every step of the way. From the receptionists that like to laugh to the understanding and nice dentist and hygienist. I will be coming here from now on and getting my smile back. They have me very motivated and excited! I hope the great experience will continue throughout my treatment!
Staff very friendly. Had a 3:00 appointment &didn't get out of office until 4:00. Had a delay in getting x-rays done which made the appointment drag on. Had to talk with office manager about insurance coverage, plan of care, & needed appointments.
Mt experience today has been the best experience since coming to Aspen Dental in these last two years. Danielle listened and help me with what I want to achieve with improving my smile. And as always my receptionist is always on point.
Had to wait almost an hour to be seen. Front Desk seemed to have no interest in greeting me - or letting me know what was happening. 30 minutes after my appointment time I went up and asked what was happening. They seemed surprised and said 10 more minutes. It was 25 more minutes before being seen. As a result here was no time for recommended cleaning. Poor customer service
The dental hygienist didn’t even introduce herself. She was in a rush and rude. The first and only thing she talked about was braces. Nothing about the health of my teeth. She didn’t even floss my teeth or do a thorough cleaning. The dentist didn’t even come look at my mouth. I expressed my concerns to the front desk, but they had me wait in a room and no one came in. I left after 40 minutes. The receptionist stated she would have the manager call me and I still haven’t heard back from anyone.
The hygienist stated that she will see my son and place his sealants on after the dentist fills his cavities. She claims she didn't have him on the schedule. She was the one to schedule the visit initially. Then she requested to do it 6 months later at another cleaning. But I had already paid for the sealants. I requested a refund. This is bad business. That was our fourth time coming to Aspen dental in the month of September.
Great experience Ive had nothing but positive experience since starting ar Aspen this year. The workers make me feel comfortable.
