I am a new patient and my first visit was an examination. This is at the Traverse City location. I was treated very well, the staff were all very kind and welcoming and very professional. Zachary, in the billing department, was very helpful in going over everything with me, getting me connected with Care Credit, and answering all my questions that I had. He also set up all of My appointments in advance for all the work I need to have done. Thank you Zachary and I will miss you when you're gone, but congratulations on your new job. Glad I got the chance to meet you. I am praying that all my other visits will go as well as my first and that their work on my teeth is done excellently. I will keep you posted on the progress of my teeth.
I went in with extreme skepticism that Aspen was going to be a terrible dentist, but I had a great experience. Because my insurance was not in network, they offer a free exam and X-rays for your first visit- so all I had to pay was for the cleaning $150 would have declined flouride if I knew that was included and could have been left out. It was a great deal for those in need of dental if you do not have insurance. They offer payment plans too. I would say scheduling and contacting the office directly is the most frustrating and difficult part which is why I left 4-star.
Had a tooth extraction today. The staff was kind and made sure I had enough shots to ensure everything was numb--had to have one more shot toward the end. I believe my dentist's last name was "Combs" or "Coombs" and she was very good, as were the assistants. It was a stubborn molar with 3 roots and took a bit of work to get out but I didn't feel any pain except for a slight ache from the pressure of getting the tooth out. I plan on using them again for more dental work in the future. Also great because you don't have to wait MONTHS to get in. They schedule pretty fast!
I scheduled a routine cleaning through my dental insurance but, when I got there they would only do x-rays. Their computes were down so, they promised to call me to schedule my cleaning- I finally called them after a month with no word. They recommended SRP but, my insurance requires a 12 month waiting period; I won't be eligible for 6 more months. They refuse to honor my insurance for a routine cleaning in the meantime. They'll say anything to get you in the door then leave you hanging out to dry. Very disappointing!
Trying to replace a full upper denture that my dog broke. I was told after insurance it would be around 690 in full. When I arrived I was charged 504 for today's visit, leaving a balance of 196.40. I then waited 20mins before a lady came out and called me in. She took me to the room where you pick your denture and said that a code was entered wrong and that it would be another 596 dollars due today. I said I don't have that, I brought the amount I was told to bring and it took everything I had to get it. I asked if I could get my money back. I was told in 7 to 10 business days. Now I feel like I was robbed. I explained my frustration about the situation and she came back with a 2nd off. Stating did you just want your denture replaced? I said yes, thats all I need. She said they had me scheduled for a couple of other things. She then removed those and said okay, I got it down to 396 since you don't want those services. She asked if I could pay that today and that she was so sorry. I again had to repeat that I only have what I was originally told. She then said that's okay can you pay it on delivery of the denture in two weeks. Now I'm not sure if I'm at the dentist or a used car lot? I had no other choice but to say yes. My money had been taken and it would be months until I could get in as a new patent anywhere else. I get told one price and then after taking my payment the price doubles, then I get scheduled for things I never asked for and now these upcoming appointments will be my last. I have been a patient for 4 years now and I can't believe what happened today. I will never recommend this company again and I regret referring you to all the people I did
I have extremely bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. I went today to get a tooth removed and let me tell you, this was the best experience I have ever had. They began by telling me that I should not feel certain pains, and if I do to alert them and they will fix it. When I did feel them, I alerted and they immediately fixed the situation. They were very patient with me during the whole process, and when we were done, they even mentioned that what I had done was going to be cheaper than what I was quoted. To make things better, they went and got the extra amount I paid and gave it back to me. I already plan on getting more work done there in the future and I'm so happy that I stumbled on Aspen.
My appointment was in the Traverse City Michigan location. I was extremely pleased with the employees at Aspen Dental. Each person with whom I interacted was very capable and friendly. I actually got an appointment for the day after I called. I was told it was for an assessment and consolation but there was an opening for the hygienist and I ended up getting my teeth cleaned. I couldn’t be more pleased.
Some visits are better than others, but I always feel very warmly welcomed by the staff here. I never have to wait overly long and the staff is typically both patient and kind. When I've had to have more expensive procedures done that my insurance doesn't cover I've called around to other practices to compare prices, and Aspen really is the most comprehensive and affordable. Not to mention they're very responsive when you have an issue that can't wait. I really appreciated the new hygienist, Dom, during my last visit; she made me feel looked after and at ease. The reception staff in particular is top notch!
Heading into 2 months of me having to follow up on a crown. Stuck with a temp crown for 6 weeks. 4 weeks straight I was told my permanent crown was stuck in transit. I finally asked when we can give up on that shipment and get a new order started - they said they would get on it. 2 weeks later, after I don't hear back from them, I call to see if it was actually done and it finally came in. I was never told it came in but it was waiting there. I get shipments get stuck in the mail....but I shouldn't have to be the one to recommend getting a new one on order.
From my initial point of contact on the phone, through every office visit I've had, the staff at Aspen dental in Traverse City have been wonderful. Everyone was professional, highly competent and knowledgeable. Erin is very capable and she helped me navigate through a number of difficult decisions. Erin listened to my concerns, explained the facts and then laid out a plan to facilitate all the corrections I required. Far and away, this was the best experience I've ever had with a dental procedure. I highly recommend this facility and the exceptional staff.
