Representing Firms Statewide
The Associated General Contractors of California represents nearly 600 contractors and specialty subcontractor member companies throughout California. In addition, AGC is supported by more than 600 associate member companies, including suppliers, equipment manufacturers, law firms, insurance companies, accounting firms, and other diverse organizations that support California's construction industry.

Members Span Diverse Industry
Our members represent the full spectrum of the construction industry, from some of the state's smallest business enterprises to some of the nation's largest construction companies, with annual construction volumes ranging from less than $100,000 to more than $100 million. AGC member companies are owned by shareholders, families, and individuals.

Building California’s Vital Facilities
AGC members build the state's highways and bridges, the office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, plants, refineries and manufacturing facilities. We build schools, colleges and universities, hospitals, retirement homes, and health care facilities.

Our Mission... The mission of the Associated General Contractors of California is to provide education, training, advocacy, and resources to its members and to advance sound public policy for the construction industry.

Products

Legislative Advocacy – representing the interests of the construction industry – we have full-time lobbyists, political action committee and offer advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels.

Industry Liaisons and Committees – with such agencies as Caltrans, Cal/OSHA

Industrial Relations – collective bargaining – providing on-site dispute resolution, pre-job conferences, comprehensive labor bulletins, grievance and arbitration service, prevailing wage information.

Legal Information – keeping members informed on important legal issues and cases that affect their business.

Safety Health – saving members money, making projects safer. Tailgate training curriculum, publications, free safety video lending library, industry advocacy with Cal/OSHA.

Forms and publications

Workforce Development – programs at state and local levels with support from members, AGC of America and educators. Program include craft workers modular training.

Educational Programs – keeping employee up to date and help companies train their workforce. Including safety certification training, supervisory training programs.
