The Association of American Indian Physicians is a non-profit that was founded in 1971 to promote health, in Indian Country, as a lifestyle and career.
The Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP) provides educational programs and support to American Indian and Alaskan Native students to encourage them to pursue careers in health professions or biomedical research.
AAIP also works to improve the public health, in Indian Country, through various programs and numerous partnerships with tribal governments, federal agencies, national organizations, and tribal health centers.
Currently, AAIP has 13 programs, including its student outreach, that seek to improve and sustain the overall health in Indian Country.
