Athena Cafe Altamonte

Anytime we're in the Altamonte Springs area we try to have lunch at this strip-mall gem. Their chicken souvlaki pita is fantastic, as are the huge chicken parm and cheese steak subs. The potato salad my favorite anywhere. Try going during off peak hours for quicker service. The waitresses are usually very nice. In a hurry? Call ahead and pick it up.

Good place to have some Greek food, prices are good and service is good but I felt I was rushed to ordered and they were in a hurry to get us out plus they were out of what I wanted at first. The food was ok nothing amazing but not bad at all either, the Greek salad was good but the potato salad not so good and the coleslaw was surprisingly good. I orded the traditional Gyro and it had good taste to it and plenty of meat and cream sauce and lettuce in it, it was nothing to go crazy about.

I Love LOve LOVE LOVE this place!!! I just went to Opa at Point Orlando just to see how they flavors differed, and Athena is HANDS DOWN much better! Albeit the service at Athena is kinda sketchy, they have great food, its flavorful and just delicious for the little dive that it is.

This place is not autentic at all. Looks like a run down dennys. The gyro wasn't bad but the soup tasted like canned soup. There is a much better place in jamestown called Mykonos.

The atmosphere of this restaurant may not be the most appealing, but the food is always great. I've never had a bad meal here, and I can't think of a better place for Greek food in the area.

Who would have thunk it? The best cheese steak sub on the planet. In fact, I have not had a bad meal here and I'm a fat guy.
