We promote good will, understanding, compassion, dialogue, and the exchange of information about religion and ethics.
Purpose
The purpose of the Curtis Coleman Center for Religious Studies and Ethics is to promote understanding, goodwill, dialogue, cooperation, and service concerning religious and ethical issues. The Center is designed to serve the needs of students, faculty, and the community at large. The Center will explore the religious and ethical dimensions of a wide variety of cultural and contemporary issues.
The Curtis Coleman Center for Religious Studies and Ethics will provide resources for schools, administrators, teachers, students and parents that promote Character Education.
The Center will provide training and resources featuring the 25 character traits throughout the school year. These character traits are mandated by the state of Alabama for our public schools. The resources created by the Center will seek to enhance the character traits through stories, articles, anecdotes, quotes, discussion questions and action items.
