Atlantic Terminal

Description

Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Center are shopping malls located on Atlantic Avenue surrounded by Hanson Place, Fort Greene Place and Flatbush Avenue in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, New York City, near Downtown Brooklyn. Atlantic Terminal is located across the street from the Atlantic Center Mall (via a small enclosed bridge from Target), and both are under the same management of Forest City Ratner Companies, the New York subsidiary of Forest City Enterprises. Atlantic Terminal is also an office building and part of the ticket office of the Long Island Rail Road's Atlantic Terminal. Parts of Atlantic Center Mall were also renovated to complement the new mall. The malls are both located directly across Atlantic Avenue from Barclays Center arena, in the neighborhood of Pacific Park, which is being developed by Forest City Ratner. Before the mall was planned, the land was to be the site of a domed baseball stadium proposed by then Brooklyn Dodgers owner Walter O'Malley. However, the plan fell through, and the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles in 1958.

Clean and functional little terminal. If the bathrooms are locked, just go on one of the LIRR trains. Make sure to get off before it leaves!
This is another super convenient station because you will have more train routes to go to the mall across the street and Barclays Center for a basketball game. It took me 5-7 minutes from Manhattan to Brooklyn super fast express train for 4 and 5 train.
Many stores on site, station is maintained. Elevators are slow. Nice place if you want to do some shopping without being overly crowded. There are a few street vendors selling items or food on the outside with an area to sit.
Small terminal for the LIRR. With connections to NYC Subway and Buses. It's one of their oldest stations that has been renovated and improved. There is a Starbucks above the tracks with convenient access to the 6 tracks used to take you further out on Long Island. It's the best way to be stress free to get to/from JFK with easy access to the AirTrain at Jamaica Station. Use the MTA Train Time App to quickly purchase your ticket even in the last second situation. All options are listed as you check the schedule, and track departure information, for quick easy purchase.
Wonderful, efficient, organized. I encourage everything to learn the simple fundamentals of Google maps and the MTA LIRR train times app. It makes the trip or create or vacation or any type of bus train and Subway travel, easy, understandable and way less frustrating.
It's a beautiful mall with many connection to various trains including the Long Island Railroad various connections to multiple train stations including two train 3 train 4 5 Q b d n r train's are all located at this station also you have Target Best Buy Marshalls DSW Burlington Coat Factory and many more other stores
Multiple lines and LIRR is accessible but weekend and holiday service is horrible so plan accordingly.
Central hub for trains and other means of transportation throughout NYC. Protect yourself and be aware of your surroundings at this location.
Im pretty regular to this station either going from work to home or vice versa. It is a decent station, with beer during the commuting hours of the day. The subway is right here, and so is the mall. Right now they are expanding the station for a direct line to the Barclays center. Can't wait, lets go Islanders!
I love visiting this terminal station.
