This place used to be pretty good, now most of the tellers seem to have little knowledge on how to do simple basic banking and just say "don't know how to do that " though other tellers with this bank have often helped me with the same service. They stopped answering the phone and don't return calls on the voicemail they set up.
Very disappointed in this bank. Yes I have overdraft a few times but I always put money in by transferring money over. I have overdraft protection for what I do not know. It doesn't make any sense. I have asked what is the overdraft fee goes to and no one is able to tell me. This is ridiculous. You can overdraft your account for a penny and they hit you with a overdraft fee of 36.00 dollars. The one lady I talked to was very rude and pushed me off the phone. That's fine I rather deal with someone else on banking. These banks lately are crook's
I'll drive to this branch from half way across Richmond, just because of how great the customer service is here. As a small business owner, my banking needs change on a regular basis, and often times I have questions about whats best for me. Roman was able to help me make my wire transfers more efficient and showed me some things I could do with my property management accounts that I never knew i could do -- saving me HOURS of time. Highly recommend Roman for your business/personal banking needs.
After leaving Suntrust for being disappointed by their customer service I immediately knew I made the right choice in banks when I sat down with Roman. He was kind, courteous and attentive. He answered all my questions related to the bank and even stayed a few minutes later than close to make sure all my needs were met. Whenever I visit Union I’ll look forward to seeing Roman. I have been banking at the staples mill location in Richmomd for the past 5 years. The attention and service I have received from many of the employees , especially Kenny who pretty much runs the place and Roman who has always gone out of his way to accommodate myself and my partner , has been extraordinary ! Set up an account with Roman who did an amazing job. He was very helpful and dedicated to making sure all my needs were met. Even after the account was open he has continued to check in with me and made sure to stay easily accessible.
Roman was extremely helpful in setting up my business baking accounts. If you have any business needs, come see Roman. He stayed in contact with me when needed, provided me assistance and support, etc. So helpful and caring!!!
I needed to change my account with Union and tried to do so for 3 weeks. I kept calling and they would take a message for the branch manager. I tried to reach the branch manager several times and even came into the staples mill branch to speak with her but she was busy no on in her office/she was working on her computer. I was told it would be taken care of that day and she'd call me by the end of the day to confirm it'd been done. I never received a call and had to once again call in to the branch to find out what was happening. I explained my issue to Leah on the phone. She immediately apologized and let me know she was taking care of it right away. THANK YOU LEAH!!!! You were so helpful and your branch manager should take some notes from you on how to be helpful to Unions clients. The only reason I'm giving this branch 4 stars is because of Leah's willingness to be polite, respectful, and most importantly willing to get the job done!
