Beware of this facility. My father was not cared for well. He was a diabetic who took daily medication for his condition yet they didn't check his blood sugar for 3 weeks after arriving there. Then when they did he told them he needed insulin and they didn't give it because they didn't have a doctor's order to give it. It took the family advocating for him to get him his medication needed. On one family visit he was left to sit soiled for over 2 hours even though I asked multiple times for them to come clean him up. He told me that was not unusual. I had to cut his nails for him on another visit. He was immobile and requested nail clippers which they brought but then didn't cut his nails. He was trying to get transferred to another facility where he had coverage. The social worker did not follow up with information requested from other facilities causing a loss of transfer 3x. Lastly, they are overbilling me for his stay. Won't return phone calls from social workers, office manager, or facility director. This place is a joke. The nursing is most likely good, but they seem understaffed.
These people are so rude. They will not help you at all. As a past employee I needed help with my paystub for a background check at a new job. They did not know how to get that information and hung up on me. Where the heck am I suppose to get my paystub. This can cause me to lose future jobs.
My dad had a 2-3 week stay for rehab in early 2022 . I was very clear with facility Director of Nursing about my fathers health complications and goals including compromised skin and health conditions. After 2 weeks my father developed 2 stage 2 pressure ulcers in his coccyx area. The director of nursing is very incompetent and lacks any type of compassion. Instead of taking any type of ownership or empathy, she provided lame excuses. The staffing was completely inadequate. There were some good hearted staff there but unfortunately the leadership was unacceptable and uncaring. I had a relative who had a similar experience a couple years prior as well. And the autogenerated fake corporate office responses to these concerns are very tacky and tasteless as well
Staff do care, but do not have the support that is needed. Administrator is rude and North Shore took to much on and is not a good company to work for. The Director of Nursing has a heart of gold and would ensure that her nursing staff takes proper care of your families.
I found the staff to be very caring and took the best care of my dad before he passed away. They were very attentive to our needs. They may be understaffed, but I found this to be true at other facilities as well including the hospitals. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for hospice care for a loved one.
Better Management. Staff can only do so much when there's only 1 aide to 20+ residents, friendly staff and they do the best they can with shortage of staff..there over worked & under paid..when there's lack of care , comes skin issues which are occurring more. Management very cruel to the employees, Cindy harassed certain employees..she needs to be talked to about confidentiality, you do not discuss issues in the dining room in front of residents. Things should be fixed..no maintenance for 3 months..imagined what he walked into. Short staff..overworked..shortage of products that are needed to care for residents...lawn needs attention. Staff take care of yourselves. ..don't burn out..your needed.
Staff is obnoxious and rude. moving is a nightmare just dealing with people here. These staff are here to represent this town? never coming back again
Don't get good response time. Food is always cold. Ask for oatmeal and brown sugar each am, get other cereal, no brown sugar, coffee always lukewarm, ask for side salad for lunch and dinner, only recd twice. Wait sometimes 30 min. For someone to help me with bsthroom needs. Not happy.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. I have a family member that lives here and the sort of care she receives is terrible. I warn everybody to not put your loved ones here. Worst care I've ever seen. I've worked in healthcare for years and what goes on at the Atrium is horrible.
First time there would be nice if someone was by the door to help find room. Nurses at station weren't as pleasant as most places the one on the 2nd floor was great.
