Love this YMCA great staff that work exceptionally well with my children! Gym definitely could use some up dates and expansion. I would be thrilled if the wifi connection improved enough so I could use my cell phone, and not have to pay for Iheart radio offline. Update 10/15/2019 This place feels like home! You walk in and are greeted by friendly and familiar staff whom know you by name. The activity staff is so understanding with my kids and work with them to achieve their highest goals with out belittling them or singling them out. They have a great child watch area with warm friendly care takers. The gym area has had many updates. I have been a member to this YMCA for over 20 years and love it here.
I’ve been going to this branch for a few months now. I take a strength together group power lifting class and my daughter took summer swim lessons. We both loved it. I like this branch because the parking is easy and the staff is friendly. I don’t love crowded gyms. Our family membership also allows use of the outdoor facility in Norwood. It’s a great deal for a family.
Just not sure how a place that charges you just under $50.00 a month has the audacity to charge for towel rental, even if its the $1.00. The staff normally isn't the best, more than once a personal trainer has forced me to move or stop using a machine because they are training someone and apparently those people are more important. The equipment is less than par - the only thing it has going for it is the pools. If you are looking for a gym that can support a crowd and still allow you to work out in a timely manner do not go with the YMCA.
We love this YMCA. Everyone is always so helpful and understanding with all questions and concerns we may have. My daughter has grown and learned so much in the gymnastics program. She loves it!
The karate class run by Sheehan George is fabulous. He really cares about the children and he fosters respect, discipline, and kindness in his students.
Camp Pleasant is great - my son has gone here since he was 5 and he's now 12. Always fun activities and great staff!
Love the gymnastics program. Very friendly and experienced coaches.
The staff are friendly and helpful...Barbara has the best morning classes for seniors!
They have a great outdoor pool...
