Always get great service at our local Aubochon. Kudos to Fred and Bob, in particular. But everyone there does a great job of assisting. Good selection of quality products.
I have had good experience with this Aubuchon's in the past, but this experience was disappointing. They encourage people to order on line and do a store pickup by offering a discount. I placed an order on line based on what their on-line inventory showed was in stock. It turns out one of the products that I really wanted was cancelled because it wasn't, in fact, in stock. I got a notice that said the order was ready, so I went to pick it up. Their definition of "ready" included me having to drive out back to the greenhouse and grab a heavy bag of potting soil and loading it in the car myself. Given that I have a bad back I wasn't happy. Very disappointing despite the discount.
Great staff. Good selection. Perfect small town hardware store. Fred and Bob are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and, best of all, non-judgmental if you don't know stuff.
Excellent customer pickup experience. Shopping a local business really made setup of our washer and dryer after our move. Store staff picked our order expeditiously and were friendly and helpful at pickup. Jeffersonville store is a great store to shop at, conveniently located and easy to get into and out of. I am very thankful they are my local store.

Finding an employee is easy. There are usually at least four standing around. Getting assistance from one is nearly impossible. Ignoring customers seems to be covered well in their employee training. When you do finally get someone to stop and talk it is rarely helpful. It's been a year since I left the above review. Things have not gotten any better. Today I walked around scanning shelves looking for an item in plain view of multiple employees. Not one of them attempted to assist me in any way. Then, when I was ready to check out, all the employees seemed to vanish. I wish there was an option to give negative stars. Customer service is nonexistent at this store.
I came to buy a gardening shovel. The one I wanted had some substance on it like oil or something. The whole stack of them had it. I asked the pizza face teenage cashier for a paper towel for my hands and the tone and look he gave me was unreal. while assisting me rude. I don’t know why. I was polite the whole encounter and said I definitely still wanted it just needed something to clean my hands and their merchandise off. Rude.
They give Aubuchon a bad name. You're better off driving 7 miles up the road to a different place. NO customer service here. The help is surly, and uninterested in what you came to spend money on. In fact they avoid their customers, and make no secret that they don't want to talk with anyone but their local, regular clientele. The store is a complete mess. Boxes everywhere, stacks of junk, unorganized, and constricted aisles. They won't have what you need, but they'll try to get you to buy something that won't work. Then they won't let you return it, even if you have the receipt.
Great staff! Dont forget to check out your local Jeff Aubuchon online and get 15% off your first order. They have a lot there to choice from.
