My sister is being signed out today because of the abuse she’s been through in the last 2 days she’s been in the facility. The nurses are taunting the children in the chad unit, telling them their stays have been extended, stating that their problems mean nothing, no one cares about their mental states and to get over it. The doctor put her on medication, never called my mom to let her know, no updates, no diagnosis, nothing. This is completely unacceptable, this place needs to be sued.
Very disorganized, I was told I could go home by doctor but was forced to stay an extra day due to doctor not communicating that to staff. Staff is rude , they tend to talk down to you like you’re not human. Everyone is clueless it’s like communication doesn’t exist. I did get great resources/therapy but overall the experience was bad
If I could give zero stars I would. When I was a patient, I was wrongfully misdiagnosed with bipolar. 5 years down the road I found out I did not have bipolar that I simply had a brain tumor in the first stages of cancer. If these people had any medical knowledge they would have known to run me thru an mri and do blood works and all. They pumped my body full of medicine that made me even worse off and even effected my overall fertility too.
It's the worse place you children could be sent. Both my grandchildren was put in there. Because mental health said they need to go. I no my grandchildren have depression. And they went threw hell up there my granddaughter had someone treating her. And nothing was done about it. My grandson was put in there for 7 days and he was upset every time I called up there. And my granddaughter was crying when I talk to her. This place needs to be shut down.
This was first time seeking inpatient treatment. They offer no one on one treatment. I saw the doctor for maybe 10 minutes over a 3 day stay. She did change my medicine that has helped. Their group sessions are so-so. The first one in the morning is run by what ever nursing assistant that is working. And consisted of this woman with a,loud voice telling you what you can and can't,do. And passing out what passes for a work sheet. Where you fill it in with a marker. And then you can color in color books. The staff and the hospital have no understanding of,the ADA. They make no reasonable accommodation for physical issues. I am losing my hearing. And to be in rooms with a lot of noise makes me anxious and physically uncomfortable. Staff had no understanding and did,not make it where I could get as much as I could from the, experience. Still waiting for a call back. When I called, yesterday to express my concern. I think Kelly. She hung up on me. I am not really expecting much. Well 3 days and nothing but crickets from Aiken regional.
Went here a while back when I was 12 and it was horrible. I had only talked with doctors before they sent me into the main room with no prior information given. A patient went to shake my hand the other patients had to shout at me that we are not allowed to make physical contact. The nurses were very rude and ignorant when asked simple questions, they’d be on their phones ignoring us in our faces. A past patient who was in my room had gotten the flu and was sent home early other patients informed me when i started feeling sick. They failed to sanitize and I was miserably sick with the flu and quarantined in my room for most of my week stay. I was forced to stay in bed every second of the day and my legs ached horribly. Prior to the quarantine, during gym time, I was laying on the floor in pain from sickness and the nurse never checked on me. The best part is how when i was quarantined no doctors talked to me unless it was about the flu, meaning the point i was sent to a MENTAL hospital was entirely thrown out the window. I was sent home early still sick and expected to pay over $8,000 while i had not received ANY help. LOL!
Hands down love some of the nurses and staff members but holy cow. The way they were understaffed and would rush so many things was insane. Also some of the people I ended up talking to didn't know what they were doing. I was supposed to get medication for my double ear infection I had while there and it took them like 2 days to approve it and it took hours to get it to me. IT WAS A NORMAL ANTI-BIOTIC.
My sugarplum came back to me good as new. Thank you I really recommend this place!!
Umm well y’all definitely made an impact In my life… love the nurses !! I now work out and will major in phycology. Playing tennis here soon I know I’m not terrible thanks you guys. Food’s awesome worked off all the weight lol.
i went there when i was 11 for anger management and suicidal tendencies i am now 16 with the same issues. the kids there taught me how to get blades out of a razor and cut myself. the first night i was there i felt alone and afraid nothing about this place was calming or helping. the therapy group sessions were about 10-20 mins long about just breathing exercises i guess. didn’t help much. all you do all day is sit there and play cards, color , and make friends i guess. this one time we were at the gym and we were playing basket ball and i hurt my pinky really bad. 90% sure i fractured it. told the nurses about it everyday no one would give me a x ray. then there was this one kid who almost hit me with a orange traffic tone. everything there was so traumatic and i thought i was the aggressive one. so much chaos. 1 star because the food was low key bomb and i made friends overall don’t put your kids in here it’s a terrible place just get them a therapist or something just be there for them.
