The Goal of the HCFI Library is to make automotive research and restoration information readily available to hobbyists, restorers, and scholars worldwide.
The Automotive Research Library of the Horseless Carriage Foundation ( a (501(c)(3) non-profit organization) was established in 1985 with the primary purpose of recreating the pioneer automotive research libraries of W. Everett Miller and Dr. Alfred S. Lewerenz. Our founding members included Jack R. Garrison (President), Loren W. Burch (Vice President), David K. Gast (Secretary), Warwick S. Eastwood (Treasurer), and David W. Rice. The library now contains major literary collections of the Legendary Dick Teague, Art Twohy, Julian Eccles, James Valentine, David Rice, Lindley Bothwell, John Lothrop, and Joel Dethlefs.
