Maryland Barber/Stylist School
Formally “Maryland Barber school” Mr. Simon V. Avara, purchased this existing school, at auction. In 1970. Opening “International Academy of Hair Design & Technology” the same year. In March 1997, we changed the name of this school to “Avara's Academy Of Hair Design Over the years our student body has continued to grow through the referrals of our graduates and through our reputation of a quality barbering-stylist school.
Avara's Academy Of Hair Design is family owned and operated, with a primary objective to bring students to a high level of professional competence. Enabling the students to successfully pass the licensing examination of the Maryland State Department of Licensing and Regulations, Board of Barber Examiners: and to educate the students to embark on a financially rewarding career as a barber-stylist. It is our objective to give professional training and guidance to our students and to provide on-going assistance to our graduates.
