I see bad reviews here, and I don't understand why. People in general complain too much about so many things. My experience was excellent from the moment I arrived. I was well taken care of, and they guided me. The nurses, doctors, and staff were very attentive!!!
I don't usually write negative reviews, but this place deserves it. If you are scheduled for a procedure at 6 am and not supposed to eat or drink after midnight...make sure you confirm or call because I showed up 15 minutes before and they didn't even have me on the schedule. I waited for over an hour and a half while they kept saying "we're waiting on the scheduler", even though my Dr. saw me in the elevator...they still couldn't figure it out so we had to leave. I just wanted to warn anyone who has an appointment for a procedure at this location and so nobody has to go through this. They're allowed to charge $100 for missed appointment but no sort of compensation or anything for when it's their fault.
This place was amazing. From the kind and concise office staff to the prep team . Everyone made it an easy and confortable procedure. Huge Kudos to Denise in the prep area. Not only did she ease my worries but she was there to help at a moments notice . She made the paperwork a breeze and answered every question. I give this place and experience an A+ .
Had a colonoscopy last February In Surgery Center of Aventura and prior that asked about my insurance coverage. I paid my co-pay the day same day. After surgery I received an unexpected bill for the anesthesia which is, for my astonishment, not covered by my insurance. How in common sense can we imagine someone having a colonoscopy without anesthesia? The colonoscopy procedure must include an anesthesia, no doubt about that. Why haven't I be informed about that "extra cost" before the procedure? I feel as felt in a trap with a UNFAIR and ABUSIVE bill collection. I feel scammed. I tried many times today to call the phone number provided by you to speak to the VP of Operations. The number doesn't answer and auto disconnect after 5 ringing. Operations services need improvement...
I went there for an Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. Everybody was super nice, helpful and professional. The Endoscopy went very well just as they explained to me, but by no fault of the SURGERY CENTER I wasn't able to do the Colonoscopy because I didn't know how important it was for me to have the prescription that the CVS @ 591 NE 79 st Miami don't ever go there!!, read the reviews first. never filled the prescription I needed. I hope that the anger I felt at THAT CVS wasn't mistaken as it being for them or Dr. I. Bassan which is the kindest doc. there is. If you need outpatient surgery, I highly recommend Surgery Centers of Aventura. B.C.
My primary doctor recommended that I get a colonoscopy for over 50+. I made an appointment with Aventura surgery center, they emailed me a link to answer a lot of the medical questions. I did it on line. It really helped and saved time. The day I got there all my paperwork was already completed. The specialists and nurses were very nice. I really appreciated them.
Vivian, Germaine, and Rodrigo were great. They had everything in order pre-op and explained the entire process clearly. I would have knocked a star off given the facilities look dated and in some areas have shabby appearance, but the staff earned it back. I received a call-back from Vivian who asked how I was, which was unexpected and demonstrated a nice level of sincerity. By comparison, I had to call my surgeon to see how he was doing.
