I’m the husband David referred by my wife Loretta RN to Dr Avera . He is skilled, the consummate professional, and highly knowledgeable. He received his doctorate of periodontist & faculty at UCLA. He was so gentle , kind, & patient with me where he’s the only one takes the time to give me local anesthesia that I have No pain at all. He’s meticulous , compassionate, and caring. I had a dental emergency and this practice was supposed to be closed for 2 weeks. Dr. Avera's really sweet receptionist Jennifer helped me get an appointment anyways and Dr. Avera and his staff came in just to help me out. The tooth extraction process was literally painless and took way less time than I was expecting. The office is really clean and I had a great view of the trees from my procedure chair. Dr. Avera was really kind, obviously very experienced and made me feel really comfortable with the whole process.
20+ years ago i was diagnosed with extreme periodontal disease. Was told by 2 dentists the disease was too extensive and to cut my losses by having all teeth extracted. Dr Avera saved most of my teeth thru a long complicated and systematic process which was very comfortable. i was never frightened although it was my phobic fear that prevented me from seeking regular dental care in the first place. Dr Avera is the most skilled, gentle and patient dentist ive ever had the good fortune to visit. The staff are equally kind and solicitous. It was my great good fortune to have been referred to Dr Avera.
I had a dental emergency Saturday before Easter one week after major surgery. My periodonist was out of town and Dr. Avera was referred by him to me as his emergency on-call support. Dr. Avera called me back in 20-minutes after me leaving message Saturday morning. He offered to meet me at his office at 2:00pm as he had to drive up from Monterey. I was there at 1:30 when he arrived and the emergency required major grinding and restitching no fault of my periodonist. Dr.Avera was professional, kind and thoughtful - saved my Easter! Good man with obvious years of expertise - thank you and I would recommend Dr. Avera to anyone!
