That location needs to be exposed for extreme sanatorium violations. They have agents working there that does not care about the job, I mean literally not doing what the standards of managing a car rental place. I have never experienced something worst from my recent rental and believe when I tell you to stay far away. I found some used condom inside. An u cleaned, no gas vehicle. I was wondering what the foul odor was. That place needs to shut down quick. You've been warned or go ahead. And touch some nasty used condom or needle. Photos you see there are. From a recent vehicle that I reserved and was given to me to take out. Just unreal.
I have been to many, many car rental places. This place is by far the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I made a reservation online, got a confirmation email, called the phone number to check that my reservation and my car was available. And so, I drive 30 minutes to get here, only to be told that they don't have any cars. And when I explained all the steps that I did to make sure this doesn't happen, the guy at the front desk just told me that it's not his problem or fault. Somehow, the Avis system over books cars and allows people to waste money and time to travel to the place without actually having a car there. Avoid at all costs!!!
Terrible experience...... Rented 2 vehicles in Boston Logan one from Avis the from Budget. Cars were dirty, trash inside and contract from previous people left in vehicle. Didn't realize till we got to the hotel both cars had expired tags. Called for assistance received the run around. Directed to Peabody Holiday location. Girls behind counter rude and were talking Spanish about me in front of me. Manager Juan not on sight was brought on phone and was just as rude and not helpful. Told only way to fix we have to go all the back to Boston to south the vehicles out. Thanks for causing us issues on our short vacation.
I couldn’t give zero stars. I encountered the most unprofessional, rude and incapable employees at this location. The staff is not trained, the location is lacking supervision and management. I am taking legal action against them. I have no worlds for the unprofessional rude clueless employees who work here. I had a confirmed reservation which was paid for, and they told me they don’t have a car. The next 3 people in line after me got cars but she had no car for a reservation that was already made and paid for. There is no manager to speak with, they don’t wear employe name tangs, their answer to everything is: my system doesn’t let me do that, or I am new I don’t know how to do that, call and ask Avis. I will never rent from Avis.
Best price within 20 miles, guy that rented me the car was kind, quick, and seemed to know what’s up. I dropped off after hours and they called to settle everything up. Great experience
I prepaid for a car online. When my wife and I arrived, the staff did not seem interested in helping any customers. We seemed to be an aggravation to them. I waited patiently for the rental, as they struggled to process it. After returning the car, I received an emailed receipt for a second charge, that was slightly more than the prepaid amount. I was double charged for the rental and had all documentation showing it. Both credit card statements and emails from Avis. It has now been two weeks and I am trying to get reimbursed for the second charge that should have never occurred. Customer Support asked me to call the location, so I did. While speaking with them about the situation, they told me I need to call customer support. I let them know customer support asked me to call them. Within 15 seconds, they hung up the phone not while on hold and would not answer my call when I tried calling them back for the next 3 days. I still have a ticket in with customer service, but they continue to tell me it will take 5-7 days, when it has already been over it. I guess I should have read the reviews before booking. I would definitely stay away from this location.
The worst possible rental car service possible. They overbook for the online orders and once you go to pick up they will routinely say " Sold out". Worst of all , then they try to oversell the same product from another location usually with thrice and twice the price. The customer service at the actual location is the absolute worst, they intimidate the customers by fear mongering the rhetoric that it's been like this for months!!!! It's a legit business which behaves like a scam!
Car wreaked of smoke. When i asked for a different car was told they didnt have any other so it was take it or leave it. Like most people renting a car I was not in a position to “leave it.” I was more shocked with the “nothing we can do attitude of the staff.” No effort at all to try and find another way to make it right. In addition, i kept getting an alert that the brakes needed to be services. Not want you want to see. I would absolutely NOT recommend renting from AVIS on rte 1 in Peabody MA.
Employee Dalia said it is what it is. And added "it is our choice what car to give". You need to see the photos. They give car in this condition Update: Representative who responded to my inquiry, has no idea what is my complaint about. She copy-pasted standard text: "Your experience was not typical, and we are extremely disappointed that the exterior of your car was not up to our standards". Is that exterior? If you will ignore my inquiry, I will file a complaint
The worst possible rental car service possible. Lazy people works here they are very rude and they don't do their job just playing on titoki have the bad service, never do biasness with avis or this lactation they look like kids They are horrible , and unprofessional people works there never ever recommend it to my friends
