I rented a car for the day to head to the Coast. The owner and his daughter were quite lovely. When I returned the car they asked how my trip was. So sweet that they cared enough to remember me. Best car rental service I have ever had.
The older representative acts deceptively, is impatient, and doesn't even show you the car. We reserved a Toyota Rav 4. When I arrived to get the car he brought two keys, but upon reading that I'm returning elsewhere he said that he couldn't give those and doesn't have a Rav 4. Instead, he brought an "upgraded" gas guzzler. When I asked if they have a downgraded sedan for better gas mileage, he brought a Nissan Sentra, but before I could compare them online he reserved the car to send me away. The agency was completely empty so he wasn't in a rush. When I said I was comparing, he said that I can't change the car for a third time! I only asked what is available. He acts like I'm at fault because Avis didn't have the reserved model. All the time he has a sly smirk on his face as I'd lying and dismisses any question you might have. The sedan was fine, but awful service.
I left a smart device in my rental car, and only only realized it hours after returning it. They went and they looked through the car twice and eventually found it for me squished between some seats. The device matched the color of the interior, and was almost impossible to spot. They went above and beyond for me and I’m very appreciative.
So so helpful!! And kind. Think he stayed late so we could get a car before the Fourth of July since ours broke down. Super clean car! Rides like a dream.
Unfriendly, unhelpful employee. We were exchanging an Avis rental that had a problem, as we were instructed to do. Didn’t get another car after all and were treated rudely
Hillsboro, OR, Avis was excellent! Portland Airport, PDX, Avis was horrible, leaving us stranded without a car at 12 am, and keeping $800 deposit on top of it!!!
Had a 100$ cleaning fee added after i returned the car, when called to ask why they mentioned if the cleaningvacuuming takes more than 20minutes there would be a charge for cleaning. We hit some bad weather during our course of rental due to which there might have been some additional dust inside the car. I rented out a 7 seater and it would definitely take upto 20mins even to clean a mini van. Would have given less than a star if there was a possibility!! I wouldn’t recommend renting out.
Such a great experience with Khalid Alshibah! He was quick to solve our problem and is the only reason I would consider renting wirh Avis again. It's thanks to Khalid we were able to get back to Portland and salvage the rest of the vacation after our accident Thank you Khalid!
Easy check in/out. Vehicle met my expectations. Would recommend.
Haven't been able to get a car there in a while they always say they are out of cars
