I reserved a car online. Process was easy online and at time of pick-up. I cannot remember the blonde headed girl's name but she was as sweet as could be. She made the pickup process as easy as could be. Came to drop off the car the next day and it was just a simple drop of the keys and I was done. They do have an overnight drop box for in case you want to return later that night. Parking is also free at the Airport if you need to leave your personal vehicle. Very pleased with this rental facility. I will do business here again.
I had to exchange rentals due to a break in. It took almost 2 hours for the exchange to take place. I had to go to 2 different buildings. They received the vandalized car with no problem, reports were completed in timely manner. The issue was that upon arrival the Avis system completed my reservation as if it was a drop off. They charged me $300 for not returning the car to the reserved location, this was rectified on site. But all of this took way too long.
Picked up vehicle at Beaumont, Texas Airport. It smelled like someone had smoked in it! I began wiping the seats and interior down. The cloth I used was black! Halfway through our trip to Colorado, the air conditioning started intermittently working and a blue light kept blinking off and on. We called and they said change it when you get to your destination. We went in to the Durango, Colorado airport to change it. Told him the issues. He said he had to go look at the vehicle. Came back in and stated "HE WASN'T SAYING HE DIDN'T BELIEVE US" but the air was working fine for him and the blue light was suppose to blink. I told him it was INTERMITTENLY WORKING. He was very rude and unprofessional. Come to find out he was the boss! Also, why would two people waste an afternoon on their vacation to change a rent car if it was not a legitimate complaint. Well, he managed to change the car for us. He gave us the dirtiest, dented up, scratched up, horrible stains on the interior seats and and outdated license plate sticker. Just handed us the keys and aparently left because we went back in to talk to him and he was no where to be found. I kept calling and never could get the local office to pick up. Well, finally they answered and it was him. I told him we had a long drive back to Texas and this vehicle in its condition was not acceptable for us to drive in for two days. He told me to come in on July 6th after 5:00 pm and he should have some SUV's. It was convenient that HE was not there but had left instructions for the worker to give us another vehicle. It was a decent size SUV but again, dirty on the inside. I've come to the conclusion that they just don't clean them. Also, we got into Texas into some bad weather/rain to find out the windshield wiper blades needed replacing which made it very difficult to see clearly. Lastly, he filed a damage report on the first vehicle saying we stained the dash board.That car was cleaner on the interior than when we received it. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
The only reason for three stars is because I've never used Avis car rental services. And also because I am a Hertz VIP Gold member with veteran status.
This location was convenient, affordable, and the customer service was excellent. They even upgraded our car. Will be back there again for our future rental needs.
The first rental car, Avis gave me had a defective transmission. They would not going there when I got home. That was on a Saturday. I return Monday and got a second vehicle. The tires were so bald that you cannot place a penny end tread for it to stand up, there was no tread. As far as the staff at the Jack Brooks regional airport, all I can say is if you have a little oriental girl wait on you turn around and walk away. My German shepherd has better people skills then she will ever have in her life.
My entire experience was great from start to finish. I was able to get a full-sized vehicle with a weekly rate and insurance and it was hundreds cheaper than the same car and options at Enterprise. I am glad I chose Avis
HORRIBLE!! I had a reservation for a mini van. To be certain I could use a debit card I called the location I was using. Whoever I spoke with said I could use debit no prob. I get there to pick up the rental and the young man at the counter said i had to use a credit card bc the size of vehicle. When i told him i had called and they said i could he asked where i called so i showed him the # on my cell. He said thats our # but it wasnt us u spoke with. He was VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!! He never tried to even resolve the issue. We called Enterprise and had NO ISSUES!!
Vehicle had unreported damage it had been smoking in and it was not full of fuel, and It pull to the right
