The office was closed at 4 pm on Monday, however a black guy who was vacuuming a car nearby appeared as a staff member. But it was done only when I called him couple of times, by trying to be much louder than the vacuum to be heard. Neither information of working hours nor the note why they were closed was put on the door. That's exactly how a rent-a-car spot mustn't operate.

Used Avis because I had a corporate discount with them, but after my experience with this place I would recommend you choose another location even if you have to spend a bit more. This location seems to employ a single person, and he has no sense of urgency or even a normal person's working pace. When I picked up my car there was no one else here, and it still took me 30 minutes to get out of here even though I had pre-paid and pre-checked in online. When I returned my car I was 3rd in a line of 5, and despite the line up, this guy works at the same slow place with no care of anyone else's time. I've been waiting so long that I'm literally writing this review while in line. It's been 25 minutes and counting now. It's also worth mentioning he tends to give you a fair amount of attitude in his communication. Trust me, just avoid this location.
The business was honest with their billing. I was cautious of renting from here, considering the other one star reviews, however I found the process to be smooth and the final cost to be reasonable. No overcharging or fraudulent claims of damage to the vehicle. Vehicle was very clean and a recent model. Be prepared to fill out paperwork for about 25 minutes before you get the car.
Just don’t do it. Made a reservation and received an email confirmation, only to be told I don’t have a reservation. Was asked to call customer service only to talk to an automated machine while the service agent watched. All this during our panic to meet our family to go to a memorial service. Was also told we would need to wait while the car was cleaned and washed. Just avoid.
I had such an amazing experience with this company! On my way home from Orlando back to London Ontario during the pandemic I was in need of renting a car at the US border to get me the rest of the way home to do my 14 day quarantine. I could not have anyone pick me up - so rental was my only choice aside from a very expensive cab ride. The manager at this location, Abraham, was so incredibly helpful through the entire process. When my plane landed in Buffalo I had a message from him that my car was ready for pick up. But due to delays getting off the plane and an extremely long wait at the border I did not arrive into Canada until shortly after 8pm they closed at 5pm. Abraham gave me his personal number and told me to call him once I crossed. Even though he lives 30 mins away he still came back in to rent me the car and didn't charge me any extra for this service. WAY over and above! Thank you Abraham for setting such a great example of customer service!
5127 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 4E4 Not the best experience at this location. I am unsure if the person at the front desk was training or simply was not equipped to handle the process professionally. The facility itself was very run down and the technology was very out dated. Cons: 1. I thought I'd save time with the "Avis Digital Check-In." However, upon arrival to this location, the paperwork had taken another 30+ minutes. I believe this was partly due to my comprehension and the language barrier with the representative. I wanted to make sure I understood the terms and conditions he was explaining to me in which I had asked him to repeat certain aspects. 2. I used a workperk benefit code for discount on the car rental. However, I was questioned rudely about HOW I obtained the discount and had to prove that I actually worked for the company. I ended up showing my employment letter to the representative. 3. Upon receiving the vehicle, we'd examined the vehicle's exterior not even thinking about examining the INTERIOR. Upon getting into the vehicle, the smell of weed was very strong. We thought it was from previous renters and thought we'd just air it out. Day 2 the smell of weed was still lingering. We searched the interiors and found a roach side of the driver seat and a vape pen hidden within the flaps of the inside of the trunk. We'd assume at this point, these items were planted. Thank you for the car rental, however, I would not recommend this location at all.
The doors are always closed and there is no any information regarding working hours. Is this branch open?
Does this location work or not? There is no information regarding working hours at the entrance. Wasted my time when called around.
Not a good experience: Came in to change my ongoing rental since customer service told me I had to do it physically on-site. The employee couldn’t be bothered to listen at all, was rude, loud and unhelpful. Avoid.
