Avis Car Rental

Rented a car for one day business trip to Tampa from Orlando. The customer service rep at location was stellar and left me heard and taken care of. Highly recommend her. However Avis, you can do better the car windows inside and the rear view mirrors were so filthy that I could barely see out while driving. This is a hazard for your customers.

Avis did a great job! Friendly, funny and helpful. The Toyota Camry ran great, clean and was just right for a family of four. Rental and return was easy and fast.

Made my reservation online and everything was great until I got to the counter. The woman at the desk asked me for another form of ID other than my driver's license. While I do have a passport, I've never walked around with it in USA because who does that other than foreigners? She told me she couldn't take my driver's license and without another ID she wouldn't be able to give me the car, and that I would also still have to pay for the reservation. When I asked for a refund, she refused. Literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life and I'm certain is probably illegal. Not only was the woman working there rude she said she just came back from vacation and had a very poor disposition to begin with so she probably needed a longer vacation, but she also didn't seem to care about trying to refund the money and cancel the reservation. After calling customer service, they quickly apologized, refunded the money, and said they did not understand why she was demanding another ID. Happy I got my money back, but never renting from AVIS again. This all happened in the Orlando Airport.

I have used this location for rentals a few time, but the last time really showed the excellent customer service. The gentleman that was there helped me out big time! He actually stayed almost 30 minutes past closing and was helping me with a Amex issue for my car reservation and got me on the road!

I used to rent from enterprise, but because of their dishonesty and high prices, i went to avis, this sweet couple took care of me. They are honest and saved me alot of money on my rental, i will always rent from them

Where do I start!? I had a 5 day trip planned, hotels lined up, bookings and reservations in placed and AVIS employee called me 2 hours before my reservation to tell me: "We don't have your car available, we have overbooked and we don't have anything for you, sorry but you will need to call our Corporate line if you have a complaint" This is the first time something like this happened to me, it was completely unprofessional and it shows the lack of control they have over their fleet. If you want to risk your travel plans go with them...otherwise stay away from this place. They have not called me yet to follow up or to offer up anything as a courtesy for all the travel inconveniences I had to go through.

I wish I could give Avis 0 stars. Everything went well until I had to return the car, overcharged 100 dollars for fees I was not told about. Employee at the location said he could not issue a refund on the spot, and to call the customer support. Called customer support and they said I was responsible for the charges even tough I wasn’t aware of them. One of the charges was a fuel charge, which the employee just randomly entered because he never even came out to check the car in. Avis will Never ever get a penny from me again. Go to enterprise, hertz, any where but here.

This place is great! If you have a bad experience here is because you are either high maintenance or a snowflake, you decide. They get busy and any small business if tough but they have ALWAYS gone out of there way to get me what I need and I rent cars a week at a time. Great Job, keep up the good work!

I had no idea this place even existed. I rent often for work and this being so much closer to my house is super convenient!! Its only the owner that works there and she takes such great care of me every time. I wanted a specific car my first time there and though it took a couple hours, she made it happen. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Gonzalo has been amazing during a difficult time. Helpful and responsive. I very much appreciate everything he has done.
