It started as a Bucket List Item:
While Heather was having lunch with friends; She realized that all of a sudden there was a big void. She had a financially successful corporate career with a background in Human Resources and Project Management and the most supportive, encouraging fun and loving family and friends a girl could hope for. Yet, something was still missing. Rather than wait for retirement; she started her bucket list hoping to find what was gone.
She randomly called a flower shop explaining that one of her items was to deliver Flowers on Valentine’s Day. After the day was through she noticed the look of “Aww” and joy in everyone’s face when receiving floral gifts from their loved ones, and it finally hit her. In her world of electronics, busy schedules and deadlines, she was missing the human connection and freedom of being able to give back to the community.
Over time she decided to mentor under several florists in the area and enrolled into the New York Institute of Art and Design as the floral industry became her new passion. Each day she became more fulfilled, she reconnected with her freedom, her relationships (both professional and personal) had more depth and were flourishing. She realized there was so much to offer, that she decided it was time to put away the suits and heels, leave Corporate America, and go out on her own. It was then she decided to be different and create arrangements that had a personal look and feel to each client. She believes fully that people who are appreciated will go above and beyond any expectation.and that flowers can be a token of appreciation.
Along came AWESOME BLOSSOMS. A local flower shop that's mission is to bring back the human connection and build relationships.
