Staff was very compassionate and treated our family like we were their only client. Took care of everything for us. Had to transport my mom to another state and everything was well taken care of. If you live in Stuart and go through what we did, I would recommend Aycock in a minute.
I never thought that I would have to bury a loved one this soon, but unfortunately Life is not not always how we plan or hope it would be. I would like to thank the team at Aycock funeral home & Prill for everything. They are very compassionate, empathetic and very helpful in guiding us with what the next steps were. The customer service and communication was great. I’m glad that we chose them. .. Glenn, thank you and the Team for everything!
Place treated me horrible after my father passed on my birthday. I explained I had never dealt with a loss and was clueless, that I was severely strapped for money and trying to just keep my car and house afloat , with tears in my eyes, while talking to the director. Rather than tell me I’d best be served elsewhere I was lead to believe that 2900$ was a basic minimal cost I should expect anywhere else. When my close friend told me that was wrong and reached out to other places these heartless ppl told me I’d still have to pay 500$ refrigeration and 3-400$ for handling my father to pass him to another company. When I asked “why is it 3 OR 400$?” I was told “it depends on our relationship with the new company you choose. Disgusting. My father also passed late November and while trying to get his death certificate the staff fumbled that small task with failures to communicate amongst themselves. I genuinely hate these ppl for tryin to take such advantage of me on the worst week of my life. They made everything so much harder than it had to be. Showed no real care. Shirked responsibility for their screw ups until I had to literally twice step by step explain how they messed things up by not simply communicating. Do not use these ppl. Affordable cremation is a family owned company and handled me very well, even got these vultures to drop the charges I mentioned above they tried to scalp me for. I would love nothing more to see these ppl jobless. Corporate motives and structure are not conducive to the personal touches needed in matters like these. Find someone local and family owned. I’ll never forgive these ppl. If you have 10k to spend I’m sure you’re treated like royalty. If you don’t prepare to be treated like a nuisance.
It was a Beautiful Service . We thank everyone who participated from the Aycock funeral home & cemetery at Fern Hill...It was the closure we all needed . Your kindness was through out everything is sooo appreciated. God Bless you & yours, With much gratitude, Joann & Ray

You could not ask for more caring facility that made it difficult task extremely easy and as stress free as was possible.
From the moment I walked into the funeral home, and every moment through every phase, Laura, and the team led by Peter, provided beyond an exceptional level of care and compassion in this most difficult time of my life, the lost of my son. I was taken care of as if I was the closest member of their own personal family.
The Aycock Young and Prill Chapel provided exceptional service. Burying my wife was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. The funeral director, Jay, and his assistant Cindy, providing me with comfort and compassion, and professionally guided me to achieve my funeral objectives. April would approve. This is always a stressful time, but the Young and Prill team’s professional efficiency kept stress to a minimum. The “Life Well Celebrated” display and video were also exceptional. Thank you Jay and Cindy.
Thank you all for your help for Catherine Walter, our mom, funeral arrangements. Everyone was polite, curtis and very knowledgeable with all the planning throughout the process. Special thanks to Glenn Dewhirst and Cindy Morabito for arranging everything so quickly to accommodate our family. A special thanks to Cindy and Robert at Fern Hill for getting everything arranged.
