We love this park! It has something for everyone. Covered Playgrounds, swings, walking trails, big open field for all sorts of sports, a pavilion, bench seating, volleyball courts and so much more. We also attend all of the different activities they have including 4th Of July!! Always an amazing show with some really nice staff and our local community.
The Central Park in Azle has been one of the best finds for our family. The playground equipment is shaded for those extra sunny days. Since the new splash pad was built, our kids have loved the park even more. There are plenty of trails to walk, a basketball court, volleyball, and other areas for activities. The park has always been well kept and maintained every time we've visited. Playground: The playground equipment is shaded for those extra sunny days. The equipment available for play is excellent. Rock climbing, slides, swings, and many other fun options. Restrooms: Restrooms are close by and are well kept. Dog-friendliness: Nearly every visit to the park we have seen people walking their dogs and haven't had any encounters with unfriendly pets. Our last visit I noticed a station with collection bags so that owners can clean up after their animals. Picnic area: A covered pavilion area is available for parties and events.
My one year old had a blast, and the canopy over the playground is a godsend. HOWEVER. there was a man that apparently rides over to the splash pad on his bike and had to get ran off by a couple moms that have seen him watching the little girls? I'm not from there, so I'm not sure how accurate that is... thought you parents should know anyways.
I actually only stopped here to relax for my lunch while working in the area. The park was busy with lots of people for the couple of days that I stopped there. It looked like everybody was having lots of fun, the water features were definitely the favorite things right now in the heat. For me it served as just an excellent place to chill out while eating on break.
Nice huge kids park to visit, library is just right down the corner. This place is perfect location to photo shoot particularly at the gazebo. Bigger kids/adults can play basketball, soccer, and volleyball. It also has a walk/run trail for walking or jogging. The tent / cover is a huge game changer for the kids during summer.
What a wonderful park with a fun splash pad. Love that the playground has plenty of shade, thanks to the huge canopies. There is also a volleyball and tennis/racquet and basketball court. Central park is great for children that are 5 yrs. Of age and up. However central park needs A playground for children That are 1yrs to 4 yrs of age. Need to had more benches to the playgrounds , and put them in the shade. Maybe add some more shade trees. Maybe add a volleyball ct for adults and children. Make the park better for the handicapped . The city has plenty of land to make these improvements . All it takes is a better budgets .
Has a great time at the fireworks show.. the park was very clean and the concession stand was FREE
We just moved to Azle last year from Peaster.This was my family first time there a the park for a concert, of the band Escape tribute to Journey. They sounded just like them.. Central Park is beautiful. I know we will visit there a lot of times in the future. I love the bronze sculptures. My grand daughter thought the girl on the bench was a real person. Thank you again for the beautiful evening with no rain.
