It was very interesting, I could have spent 2 hours in there just reading and watching videos... Give yourself ample time. I am going to take another trip there when I have unlimited time to enjoy all the displays... I loved it!! Price for entry: $15.00 Ticket type: Adult, $10.00 w/student ID
Great historic blues museum, a must see for sure. I learned so much about BB King and the history of the blues. He is buried there and they built such a nice tribute to him
Had a blast! The staff was warm and inviting. Very informative about B.B. King museum. Love the museum and everything in it. Last time I was in Indianola, Mississippi. It was closed, and have a sad story to add. My father has transition on to be with the Lord. June 3, 2016 was his farewell tour in Indianola, Mississippi where he was born. Our family was able to send my father back home to be lay to rest next to his mother and father. I was not able to find the cemetery my father was laid to rest in. However, my father still sent me to your museum and for that am blessed and thankful for. Thank you again! B.B. King.
I don't even know where to begin! If you have not visited this historical museum, it should definitely be on your "things to do list". This museum is absolutely beautiful and full of such great history about BB King, the cotton gin where he worked, original artifacts, his original tour bus and cars he actually owned and drove. I visited from IL and it is worth every penny and moment of your time. My husband's family is from Indianola MS and I love listening to them tell the history of it. My sister in law is actually a tour guider at the museum. Although I didn't know Mr King personally, it was emotional just seeing and touching his actual grave site he is buried at his museum. I think this is a trip all should come to see and experience....PRICELESS!!!
The BB King Museum is a must visit museum if you’re in the Mississippi Delta! I was able to find a Groupon for my group of 4. It also included a credit for the gift store, and I purchased a nice t-shirt along with some other items. Note that the museum does not allow you to take pictures once you’re in the actual exhibits. The grounds are beautiful so you’ll be able to take some nice pictures outside. I suggest going in a cooler month because it will be too hot to enjoy the grounds in the late spring/summer.
This was very informative about the life of BB kimg. The host was very knowledgeable about BB King aslo. The exhibit is layed out nice and very clean and kept up.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15

I only found this place by reading the Mississippi state map. It didn’t show up on Google attractions search. I learned so many about the history of blues and B. B. King’s story and legacy. Be sure to take the time to visit Church Street where B.B. got his start.
Excellent overview of the Mississippi delta, the Blues, and B.B. King. Nice mix of artifacts. His grave site is in an outdoor pavilion next door.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I love the gift shop. I've visited the Museum several times, when I come from out of town. There were changes, good changes, since the last time I visited. Very interesting displays. I brought my 90 yr old mother for the first time but we couldn't browse all the exhibits. She really enjoyed herself. My sisters had never been and they thoroughly enjoyed it. On a side note, the staff was great!
