Nazie, has been practicing as a mental health psychotherapist since 2009, working in multi-disciplinary settings with medical, case management, educational, and other mental health professionals. She is known for her enthusiasm, wisdom, practical experience, ability to connect with diverse populations, and eagerness to work professionally to help people from a variety of backgrounds.
Nazie has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. She has experience as a Team Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor at Hope Health Systems, Psychometrician at GIFTS LLC, and outpatient psychotherapist at a number of different settings including private practice, community mental health, and school based mental health. She is also a board certified LCPC supervisor and provides supervision on a regular basis.
Nazie is interested in an integral approach to therapy, utilizing treatments grounded in a humanistic approach, attachment, interpersonal, and CBT principles. She enjoys incorporating expressive modalities in her treatment. She specializes in working with children using a combination of Play and Creative Therapy and CBT, as well as individuals who struggle with grief and loss, depression and anxiety, parenting techniques, and couples dealing with marital or relational issues. Nazie has an Advanced certificate in Trauma Informed Care and is a certified leader of The Strengthening Families, Chicago Parenting, and Circle of Security Programs.
