Stopped in today for a late lunch - I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac & cheese and cornbread, husband got the b3q signature sandwich, brisket, and a side of baked beans. We got an order of smokehouse fries with brisket to share. Everything was hot and fresh, and we got our food in less than 10 minutes. There's drink coolers with snapple, waters, and sodas to choose from as well. The food was delicious - the pulled pork was juicy and the brisket was tender. I topped my sandwich with their white sauce, signature, and Chipotle sauces. It was so good. The real winner was the smokehouse fries though - seasoned perfectly, crisp, and so tasty. I would highly recommend!! The chef owner? also came over to our table and we had a very nice conversation - it was a very good experience and we will be returning in the future! Parking: Parking is a little weird and small, but it's an odd corner lot so that's probably why.
You Need To Know? Arrived around 6:00 p.m. & we were the only people there. We sat at a table & viewed the menu on our cell phones for about 15 minutes before we realized they don't wait on you at this restaurant. You have to get your own drinks, no ice, order your own food, pick up your food, & then clean your own table. The girl at the register was sure to remind us on how to place a tip on the receipt though?? The food came out very quick which was a pleasant surprise. Took less than 5 minutes to come out. The brisket was moist & good with your choice of sauce. Sauces were good, but thin & watery, none of them were spicy & thick. The pulled pork was dry, the ribs were overcooked & charred & the fries were soggy. Maybe because we were attempting BBQ in the dead of winter made it not so good?? Now You Know!
Brisket was like shoe leather. Good customer service, warm, inviting atmosphere very cool place it’s situated in an old gas station seating area for approximately 10 people limited parking available on site.
Stopped in for lunch one afternoon for the first time and had a very pleasant experience. The man behind the counter seemed very busy and was filling multiple take out boxes but took our order as soon as we were ready. He was very attentive the whole time we were there and very friendly! Would simply come back just for his service! The brisket was delicious, although there wasn’t a great spicy sauce for my husband, I enjoyed the mustard bbq sauce! The mac and cheese was a tad garlicky for our liking but still creamy
The B31 Smokehouse is a comfortable spot in West Pittston with a friendly staff and a welcoming environment. We arrived on a Friday around 7 p.m. Although there was a family already dining there, there were only about two or three tables remaining, however we did have an option to eat outside which we declined. My girlfriend had the slow and low pulled pork sandwich, which was tender and pretty good. I had the brisket sandwich and smoked wings, which was also delicious. We also ordered a side of fries, which was more than enough for two people. The Nashville wing dipping sauce was tangy and packed just the appropriate heat. The table was also filled with a variety of barbecue sauces, including peach, Alabama white mayonnaise and horseradish chipotle, the B3Q signature sauce, and many a few others, which I experimented with as I ate my meal. Nick, the owner, made us feel right at home, and even stopped by for some pleasant conversation. An Air Force veteran who returned home to start the business, gave us the brief history of the establishment, and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his restaurant. Although the place is small, you can always order takeout, which won't disappoint. Give this place a try if you have a hankering for some tasty meat.
This is a carry out place. The meats were good, very well cooked and tasty. We went there thinking it was a sit down restaurant. While they have tables everything is served like carry out minus the containers. There is no wait staff. The sauces were weird and very thin, there were no traditional red sauces, the best sauce was the mustard sauce followed by the chipotle, we tried them all. If I lived in the area I would carry out and use my own sauces. Even the ketchup was thin. Over all it would be good carry out but not a very good dine in restaurant. The portions are generous. I would give it a 4 star on carry out.
Far cry from years back. I was just there a few days ago, $10+ for 1/4 lb of brisket, got home to enjoy that little for that much and well, it was drier than leather on a humid August day. Never again, head to Mission BBQ in Wilkes-Barre where you'll still be supporting those whom served AND they slice it FRESH for less! Sorry guys, step it up or shut it down! Never again! Update! Your response is 8 months late and Mission BBQ along with other small BBQ places blow your food away and for your information I DID go back to your place that day, yet because you were closing you waved me away, so. Anyway good luck on serving less than stellar products.
I waited for a week to give this review. Mostly, I waited because I didn't want to give a poor rating after our visit because of disappointment. We went here after about a year of anticipation. I've followed B3Q BBQ on Social media and have wanted to get here due to the owner being a veteran and my love of BBQ. I didn't find the meats, the sides, or the sauces very tasty. The staff there took out order, brought our trays to the table, and never acknowledged our existence otherwise, when we were leaving. Everyone has bad days, maybe will try again.
Have been eating take out from B3Q over 2yrs now. Today the cashier charged me for sauce and blue cheese on my wing order. Ordered two orders of 12 wings. So how much sauce and blue cheese should I need. The containers are 2oz each only filled about 3/4. Wings $10 a dozen. Sauce and blue cheese extra. What a let down. Formerly happy customer.
Had a take out order tonight scheduled for 5:40, when I arrived on time and asked for it the girl working counter said she would "get started on it." There was another girl who was new and a boy half-sleeping in the corner while orders piled up. The girls even had to ask him to get up and help. We ordered a variety so everyone could try a little of each. The pulled pork was good, as were the baked beans and french fries. The mac and cheese was so/so. Good flavor but the noodles were sitting too long so they were mushy. The brisket was decent but very dry. Unfortunately the coleslaw was really bad, as were the ribs. Dry doesn't even cover it. The bones were mostly gelatin and the meat was like a jerky.
