Why do gun shops treat you as if they don't care for your business. At least that has been my experience. I've been to many gun shops in the Hudson Valley and that's how I have felt. I am a retired LEO and a veteran. Admittedly, I don't know much about guns so shopping for a pistol was intimidating to me. Recently, I went to a new Ulster county Firearms shop. I was treated very well. I ordered a Sig P938 with Hogue grips and an extra 7-round magazine. Five weeks and several communication efforts later left me empty handed. Very frustrating. I found Back Roads Guns & Ammo off the internet and took a chance. It's a small shop in the middle of nowhere. A little off-putting for a boy from the Bronx. Once I met the owner, Drew, I was immediately put at ease. I told him what I wanted and he worked feverishly. Within 24 hours literally!! Drew got the gun for me. Further, he got me a great deal through Sig's LEO program. The gun came with three magazines, more than what I wanted. Drew is a easy going, laid back man who is easy to talk to, and seems to love what he does. What he does is work hard to get you what you want. If you don't know what you want like me he does not make you feel like you are wasting his time. Everything went quickly and smoothly. I highly recommend Drew and Back Roads Guns & Ammo.
