Great food. I got the chicken and ribs combo with green beans and a sweet potato. Excellent! My friend got ribs. She said they were very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. A good experience for those visiting from out of state and wish to experience good BBQ which I highly recommend. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

Nice spot to drop in for lunch. They got lunch specials that don’t break the bank.I liked the place and try to come for lunch whenever roaming about in a South Daytona. They even give you drinks with my favorite crushed ice. Come check the place out I’m sure you will enjoy if you like this type of food. I know I do.

I went off the reviews and I shouldn’t have. The sides are definitely better than the meat. By itself, the meat is flavorless and the chicken is dry. You have to literally drown your meat in sauce for it to be palatable. The sauces are decent. The greens are decent, The cornbread and corn fritters were the most delicious thing in my honest opinion. Not sure who’s reviewing the food but I’m convinced most people that live in this area have no sense of taste because this one of many restaurants that sent me completely off. Service was ok as well. If they’d throw some seasoning on their meat it would be phenomenal.

I really enjoy the unlimited meat special...and was somewhat disappointed to be told the other day that the beef brisket was no longer available as part of that special. The ribs were followed with some awesome pulled pork and the baked potato was nearly perfectly cooked. The roasted corn on the cob is always a treat...but I really did miss my brisket fix as part of the mix. Still a loyal fan...

Every once in a very long while, you come across an exceptional BBQ place. Backyard Boys doesn’t mess around. So glad we came here. It’s that good.

When we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and staff was extremely nice and professional. Cathy was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. Extremely kind and helpful.

We picked up food this afternoon so we could reheat and eat for a late dinner. We ordered a pint of Cole slaw container was half empty, half pound of dried sliced pork and a slab of baby ribs. With tip it was $44. What a colossal rip off!!! The pork was so dry we couldn't eat it......would have been nice if the server gave us the sauce we asked for. The ribs were a huge disappointment.......very small and dry. Crazy crazy crazy expensive and just awful. We have been customers here many times but today......idk what was going on there but it wasn't good. Would have liked to leave zero stars. Do yourselves a favor and go to Sonny's.

After a 90 plus degree day in Daytona we were really wanting a refreshing salad bar for dinner. We contemplated a chain restaurant on the way back home to Jacksonville but decided to go a little out of the way and try a local spot. We are so glad we did too! We both got the all you can eat soup and salad bar with a meat. I had the pulled pork and it just might have been the best pulled pork I have ever had! The salad bar hit the spot as well. Everything was fresh and exactly what we were craving. Unfortunately, we won't be able to support this local BBQ restaurant regularly since we are about an hour and a half a way but you can bet we will visiting anytime we are in Daytona though!

WOW!!! BEST BBQ in the area. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Excellent service and great food. The collard greens were made with pulled pork and were fantastic. The cornbread was delicious. Of course the pulled pork was great as well. Nice salad bar, and daily specials.

This was a nice family place and we had food here a couple times, even the owner said hello and was pleasant. However, the last two times we visited one time the food and service was second rate and then tried again order out large order over $70 and the ribs were not good Tried one more time looking for the first time quality and service when we first discovered the place in 2021 but didn't even get to the food, wanted a coffee on a rainy day and the waitress was curt Informing us they ran out of coffee, no apology just a bad attitude. We left promptly and will not return or use the order out again Three strikes your out!
