Description

At Backyard Specialists we believe that outdoor recreation promotes a healthy lifestyle and strengthens families as they play together. That’s why we’re devoted to providing our customers with the products and services they need to enjoy the activities they love.
We opened our first outdoor showplace in Wichita, Kansas in 2009. With great customer support we have decided to take our products to a new market. We opened our second store in the Kansas City market in the first quarter of 2014.
Our outdoor showplace in Wichita is off of K96 and Rock Road and our Kansas City showplace is located at I-35 and 119th in Olathe. When you visit our stores, you can see what your ultimate backyard can look like with our vast displays of play sets, basketball goals and courts, trampolines, and synthetic putting greens.
In addition to recreational products we also have a professional crew to assure that each project is installed and assembled properly. We offer installation services on just about everything on the lot.
We are also offering Birthday parties at our Olathe location as well as Pay for Play on Thursdays for only $2 a kid at our Olathe location only.
Backyard Specialists services the states of Kansas, Oklahoma and the northwest part of Missouri. We have been known to travel far and wide just to install a swing set because we want our customers to enjoy the quality of our products.
We invite you to Backyard Specialists to experience our amazing backyard for yourself. Play on our playsets, slam dunk on our basketball goals, hit a killer shot on our putting green, or jump sky high on our trampolines. We promise the toughest part of the visit is leaving!

Hunter with Backyard Specialists did an incredible job dismantling and setting up our used trampoline today it was a gift from a neighbor. He was super friendly, communicative, fast, and very professional. The installation quality was better than ever expected, and saved us so much time vs. us trying to do it all ourselves. I HIGHLY recommend Backyard Specialists and Hunter as well. I hope they pay him well. :

A great experience all around, from the first time contacting Backyard, through the final invoice! The playground was put up very quickly and professionally. Highly recommend working with them. We will do so again if/when we do another project!

Extremely satisfied with our playground and in-ground basketball hoop!! From start to finish, customer service was excellent. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns. The installers showed up on time and as expected. We couldn’t be happier!  

We have had 2 wonderful experiences with this company!  They put up a trampoline for us a few weeks ago and did a fantastic job!  The 2 guys were so nice and so fast! Then this week they built a play set for us and they were fantastic again!  All 3 guys were friendly and they made sure we were happy!  They were great with my 2 kiddos as well! We had gone and looked at their displays several times before finally deciding on something.  Josiah helped us each time and never once did we feel rushed or pressured to buy anything, and we always got all of our questions answered. We would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone!  Quality products and wonderful people working for them!

We love our swing set!! We have played on it everyday since it was installed a week ago, even during a super cold day. Josiah was very helpful and kind. The swing set is strong and sturdy and I feel confident that we will be playing on it for many years. It was more expensive than we planed to spend but now that we have it I feel that it was worth spending the extra money.

Aside from the weather being chilly and very windy, all of the kids had a fantastic time at my son's birthday party! I would highly recommend having your birthday party at  Backyard Specialists!

Incredible. Super fast and very professional. Craftsmanship and excellent customer service. The installation was hassle-free and well-done. The kids are now happily playing. HIGHLY recommended.

I spent $5300 with this company, bought a trampoline and a play set. The play set needed two leveling blocks. They call me to tell me that I need to pay for these. In my opinion this is ridiculous and is just trying to pile on cost to the consumer. I was told that they cost the company money so I’d need to be charged for them. As a business adjust your profit margins so your not nickeling and dimeing the customer. I am putting a basketball court in I will not be using this company. It’s like going to a restaurant and them charging you to get ranch dressing for your salad. The charging for these is just ridiculous

Purchased a play-set. Great customer service, professional and quick installation, continued maintenance and care. Chose these guys over Life Time and would do the same a thousand times over again.

We used Backyard Specialists to install a play system for our children for Christmas. They love the slide and swings and we love the top-quality product and installation!
