Excellent bagels and sandwiches, great cookies and pastries, and a good selection of drinks and chips. Probably one of the top 3 for bagels in the county. The biggest problem with this place is that it's a PITA to get in and out of their parking lot, and the line system inside does not make any sense. You wait in line to place your order, then kind of have to stand to the side without being in the way to wait for the food, then they give you your food with a charge receipt and you have to go wait in line again to pay. I can never go here if I'm in a rush to get back to work.
My father had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and had a difficult time eating. My father asked me to get him a sesame bagel with lox spread. My father waited in the car as I went in to get his bagel. Keep in mind my father at that time did not eat anything for 2 days before that because of the tremendous pain that would occur after eating certain foods due to the cancer. I brought the bagel to my father in the car, and he saw the lox spread was orange which isn't bad but he thought it should have been white, and it also had a foul smell. He asked me to bring it back in. When I brought it back, the owner said to me "I know your father. Call him and put it on speaker." I then called my father. On the phone the owner was explaining to him that the lox spread is good and he should try it, but my father simply didn't want to try it, as people with pancreatic cancer experience nausea and the look and smell of the lox spread made him nauseous. He asked for a sesame bagel with egg salad instead. The owner was so frustrated after throwing out a bagel that probably cost him a dollar at most to make. He then said to me "I would kill your father if it wasn't for the cancer that would kill him first." What kind of human being says such a thing? He should be ashamed of himself and anyone with common sense would know not to say such a thing. Whoever reads this and thinks of going there, think about this story before making that decision. I am now mourning the loss of my beloved father. The attitude of the owner, who is approaching retirement, was very rough and indifferent. The appearance of the owner I've seen so far has been entirely pretentious.
The bagels here are very good and this place is always busy in the morning. Make sure you order over the phone or you’re gonna be standing in line for at least ten minutes at the busier times in the morning. I don’t know why they got rid of the text order system because it was so much easier than getting someone on the phone. Please bring back the text system and it’ll be 5 stars imo.
Bagel boy! This is a cross between a bagel shop, deli, and bakery. They have it all here. I went with the eggplant mozzarella pannini. Delicious. The eggplant was fried thin and crispy. Loved the flavors. The chocolate chip cookies were from a different place. They were decent. The chicken salad wasnt my favorite. I was here and I didn’t have a bagel but nevertheless enjoyed the food. Next tine I will try the baked goods. Cool spot.
Great food, hand crafted! I had something like a #3 turkey and cheese wrap and it was delicious. This store can get very busy so be sure not to miss it!Food: 5/5
Great for breakfast, unreliable-at-best for lunch, comically priced all around. Expect some lines during breakfast hours unless you call ahead, but the staff during the breakfast rush does a great job of working through the line, and the food is reliably good — as a former New Yorker, they have the only decent BEC you can find around here, which is worth the prices. Less worth the price is the $15 lox and cream cheese on a bagel, which feels borderline delusional on their part when you consider the $9 equivalent with tomatoes, onions, capers, etc. at the local diner. But the bagels are excellent, as are the pastries, and they’ve got a strong lineup of coffee options. Lunch is a different story. The staff always seems in such a hurry to be done with their day that they often simply turn off the grill long before closing time e.g. no bacon for a BLT, a club sandwich, and other completely standard lunch fare, and the staff is far more interesting in packing up the food than taking your order. The premade sandwiches and wraps have been sitting out far too long and don’t hold up quality-wise to the much better fresh-made deli sandwiches, which are very generously portioned but again, you’d better get there before they start cleaning the meat and cheese slicers, which I’ve seen happen well over 30 minutes before closing. The sides macaroni salad and coleslaw are both pretty mediocre, and it does appear that many regulars know to simply say “neither” when asked. They have great selection of chips, drinks, etc. to go with your lunch order. Prices at lunch resemble prices at breakfast — objectively too high for our area, but selectively “worth it” depending on what you order.
This place you may as well just ask the person working there to “surprise you” when asked what u want bc ultimately you will get whatever they decide anyway. When u go back u are told “it’s hard to find good help”. What kind of excuse is this for continuously bad service?!Food: 1/5
Thank you so much to the young man who dropped the delicious food off. He truly went above and beyond, and I am very grateful.Food: 5/5
Workers stare at you while you wait for orders. Three customers orders was taken before me as I wait to get acknowledged.. lady behind the counter very rude. Not organized. Very bad customer service.. worst service I’ve experienced in my lifetime. Although my sandwich was good, I would not come back due to my experience.
It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Always fresh and of the highest quality. Never had a bad mealFood: 5/5
