Delicious coffee in a very tourist convenient location! Walking distance to 4 Corners of Law, Waterfront Park and the Battery. Next time I am going to try a pastry. Bistro seats outside and lots of tables inside. Excellent spot to people watch and pretty view of downtown architecture.
Ordered bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches that were premade. Do not order this sandwich unless you want to be disappointed. The bread fell apart so I had to use a fork and knife to eat it. Staff was friendly and the frose was good but that’s about it. Don’t recommend it for a good quick breakfast spot
Located in a prime location in downtown Charleston. Ok location for quick drink and sandwich. At 10am on a Tuesday they still had plenty available. Sandwiches left more to desire especially for the price. Egg and sausage are all pre made then warmed up in the microwave and served. The actual biscuit was decent. The guy behind the counter was all alone but doing a great job at making drinks and food. He could use some help! Get a cook and support staff and this place would be great and 5 stars
Won’t Return We had eaten here several years earlier and noted that we didn’t like the quiches but the traditional baked goods and the bagel sandwiches were good. So, we followed my instructions. Unfortunately, there are not bagel sandwiches. Instead they have very small biscuit sandwiches which weren’t very appetizing. The only real baked good was a scone which was super dense and OK. Coffee took a very long time and we were done with much of our food by the time we got it. I won’t go back.
Not sure where the "bake" in Bakehouse is. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon. They had almost no baked goods. We got the last blueberry muffin which was dry and had 3 blueberries in it. Latte was OK though. Ambiance and decor nothing notable.
I genuinely don't think I've ever had a bad experience here, and I go all the time since I work nearby. I've tried iced teas, lemonades, hot & iced coffee, different lattes like the Cinnamon Bun and Spicy Mocha, and even had a spiked smoothie at one point. Also solid on the flavors, never tastes watered down or lacking of anything. There was a notable change in the way the key lime was made, but the desserts are always tasty my personal fave is the coconut macaroons and the bacon & cheese quiche is always a good choice for a quick lunch. A convenient Mom & Pop and the few consistent employees that I've met are always really nice, even when they're super busy.
Ok, I am a huge cookie guy. I rarely meet a cookie that I do not love. However these are some of the vest cookies I have ever eaten. They are crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. Tried the chocolate chip, the oatmeal raisin, the lemon bar - all excellent. I highly recommend.
Coffee was great! Service was ok, but they were short staffed. While we waited we looked at a map. It was grossly sticking to the table.
Service was great! The people working at the counter were friendly and helpful. When we went, it seemed better for takeout because all of the seats were filled. We had a frozen spiked lemonade which was tasty, but not strong. The cookie was my favorite part. It’s nice for a quick bite and drink.
Needed some coffee on a brisk morning, within walking distance from the Battery. The guy behind the counter was handling the rush like a champ & playing great tunes. The latte was superb as well! Best coffee shop I have been to in a very long time.
