Baker Valley Seventh-day Adventist School is registered with the State of Oregon, and is denominationally accredited. We are also accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, a third-party accrediting body. Our school is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church for children in grades on through eight. Students who want a Christian education, and are willing to abide by school standards will be considered regardless of religious affiliation.
Our teachers hold degrees in education, and are continually upgrading their credentials. Although there is a low student-teacher ratio, it is counter-balanced by the workloads created by the needs of multi-grade teaching. The workload limits special remedial instruction or advanced behavior modification.
Our mission is to empower our children to meet the future with confidence, knowing Jesus as their friend and having the tools to think and do whatever life requires.
The administrative staff have adopted the following goals:
~Act like Jesus by treating people as He did.
~Do what we know the Bible says.
~Search for the value in each person.
~Encourage genuine courtesy and respect.
~Teach each student to reach his or her full potential.
Students, we encourage you to:
~Know God's friendship through the study of the Bible, nature, and the works of Ellen White.
~Treat God's creation, others, and yourself with respect.
~Understand your body and take care of it.
~Take responsibility of your own learning and actions.
~Do your best in all things.
~Help others.
