Super slow but overall great service. Our server Michael was by himself for about 7 tables; very friendly and courteous. The food itself was very good. We had Bakers scramble and Ultimate skillet. The pancakes were great. Husband ordered a soup before our food; I didn't like it, he did... It had a weird spice taste for me, but otherwise the noodles were good. The coffee was smooth and tasty.
Awesome breakfast place, tempting pies, wish I could try them all.
It's been 8th time here. Everything is good. Food service Staff but coffee : coffee is not tasty. That why when I am here I am not ordering coffee anymore.
Solid family restaurant if you are looking for casual dining with a variety of menu items. Been here multiple times with the family. Only problem, the last time we came the place was very dirty - floors were filthy, lots of dirty tables that had not been cleared. Please make Bakers Square great again by keeping your restaurant more clean. Other than that, food was fine. Pies are still GREAT.
Many tables not cleared, napkins etc on floor . The server apologized for all the grease on the plate from the sausage and bacon. He or the cook should have cleaned it up before bringing it out. I had soup and half sandwich there was soup down the outside of the cup and on the plate, the sandwich had a toothpick to hold it together but it was coming apart. The cook and server should have plated better that should not go out to customers that way. My granddaughter finally asked our server for a box for the pie she couldn't finish he never brought it another person brought. He never came to table with our bill even though we were standing by our table, finally as we were walking to front he met us at the register. Before we ordered our pie everyone else not that many tableshad left. So no excuse for lack if ending service. By then a server was clearing tables and cleaning the floor. We left around 9:30 and they close at 11:00. They were already working on close out. This was a restaurant that I used to frequent when I lived in the area but it has really gone downhill, probably would not go in this one again.
The hubs and I come to Baker's Square on a semi-regular basis as a weekend breakfast spot. The decor is cheerful, the service is fast and the servers are pleasant and knowledgeable. There are various omelets, skillets, and specials, most with a high veggie-to-egg ratio, plus the build your own breakfast option. I usually opt for this, with a small egg white or whole egg omelet, bacon, fruit, and a side of their really awesome pancakes. Because...uhhm...just because, oh, and a little syrup pitcher rather than those skimpy little plastic cups. It's the weekend, after all.
The staff is friendly and the pies are THE BEST. I was there on 3-14, Pi Day. All pies were $2 off! I did not get a photo, but the Mint Brownie Crush Pie was so delicious. I cut it into 12 slender "guilt-free" slices to share with all my co-workers. We all celebrated Pi Day with pie!
Ordered food to-go during busy hours. With that said it can be expected that the workers are over their heads with work and are very busy and irratable, however that was not the case, despite the resturaunt being busy, the staff was still extremely friendly. food was ready very quickly and on time. This experience is the reason why I see so many locals like myself visiting regularly.
The food is horrible. The service is very slow for a place that has barely any customers. The waiters and waitresses are very rude and don't care about anything. The busiest time is at 3 pm because that's when people are there for dinner and r in bed by 5 pm. Which means basically all of the customers are 55+. It smells like old women perfume that has been built up for twenty years. The restaurant is apalling and disgusting. The pies are way overrated. I could make pies better than they could. If you want to buy delicious pies, go to momma's pie restaurant…delicious
Truth be told, I've not been to Bakers Square in years. This visit was going against the expectations of a child versus a now adult. My memories of this place were not disappointed. The food for the price was excellent. If you do not have time to cook at home this is one of the few places I know you can get roasted vegetables as a side instead of being stuck with fruit or fries. Pie was delicious as always. I'd definitely recommend the Steak Tips w/Green Beans and Fire Roasted Potatoes as the choice of sides. I will definitely be visiting again.
