It is such a great museum, full of heirlooms. Seeing this home helps one understand and respect life from a different era. The staff is so friendly. The library and gift shop are amazing. Thank you for this hidden treasure. It is worth the visit. It is an adventure into the past.
If you are passionate about LM Montgomery and Anne of Green Gables then this is a tour you won't want to miss.
We couldn't come in, just walked around. It needs RSVP.

I will post a more detailed review in the future. I will be happy to see the construction come to close and be able to leisurely spend time like normal.
So family friendly! Most of the museum is hands on. They dress your little ones in period costume and offer them a tea party. They act out different skits from the book and you can take part. The gardens are beautiful. A great little collection with a couple that is very passionate and proud of their museum. Very reasonably priced and nice quiet location. Do not miss this museum when you visit Bala!
The building where Montgomery visited Bala during his summer leisure time has been preserved and turned into a memorial museum. It is close to the lake and offers a nice view of Muskoka. Nearby Gravenhurst offers steamboat tours and a number of breweries, making it a good day trip for a road trip.
It was beautiful, but I wouldn't call it the LM Montgomery museum, it's much more Anne of Green Gables themed. Very nice people who run the place. Cute gift shop too!
Great experience.John and Linda are incredible,so kind and dedicated.one of the highlights of our trip while being at CNIB camp. Hope to see you next year.
